The welcome pack was exceptional: coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, breakfast cereal etc. I loved how it had everything (fridge etc. tucked away in wood-panelled cupboards. It was a lovely, quaint place for 2 people. I am only sad that the weather stopped us from exploring the gardens.

There was nothing we disliked.

Everything was fine and we would definitely visit again ( our daughter lives nearby). Hosts were very friendly and there was some very welcome items in arrival including cereals, local bread etc. The accommodation is within a large house set in large, pleasant grounds. It is a fairly short walk into Uppermill, itself an attractive town with plenty of shops and cafes. We can recommend the bakers close to the traffic lights. The traffic lights bring up one negative point: the very busy A road goes right through the town spoiling the atmosphere somewhat. One small point about the accommodation: if you are unsteady on your feet there are very steep steps from the car park to the apartment. However, there is a gate to the left which leads down the lawn which is a lot easier to negotiate. Overall, a great place to stay and there's loads to do in the area, especially for walkers and market addicts.
