The property was beautiful - Small but extremely cosy. It was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed for the weekend. It was just off of a main road and had restaurants, shops, pubs all within walking distance and plenty of fields/parks for dogs.

Really nice area, really cosy and comfy bed. Really nice bathroom, we had a great stay!
I think there was a small leak from the bath somewhere, nothing major and didn’t affect our stay!

Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated cottage with everything you need. Crich has a fab bakery and butchers and a great place to explore the southern Peak District. Hosts really responsive to messages and questions :)

It was a very compact and well designed property packing much into such a small space. The kitchen was very well fitted out and for two fairly small people the dining space was adequate (not sure whether two larger folk would manage without having to eat in the lounge are where there two comfortable sofas and a nest of tables. The situation couldn't have been more convenient for the bread shop/cafe Loaf was just a stroll away and beyond that Budgens, butchers and chip shop. The bathroom was very well fitted out, with the largest shower that could have have been installed in such a small space with even had a full size free standing bath and shower. Crich is an exciting village and we spend much time walking its alley ways, thew long steps down from the Tors to the lower village and the walk to Whatstandwell and back via Ambergate. We liked the maps and guide books using two of them for walks. altogether we liked being in the village. Also in the late afternoons taking our drinks there, as we enjoyed watching the bee gathering the nectar from the globe thistles in the small sitting area across the road, above the amazing vegetable garden from the house opposite. The mini spiral like staircase ingeniously managed to get us up and down whilst giving us a gym like experience every time we used it. We also learnt how you had to approach the stairs knowing which had to hold on to which hand rail before descending. However, whilst we are used to scrambling and other activities, this could be a serious fissue for some who hadn't expected the stairs to be so steep. there are two hand rails both of which we used. We would be happy to return.
You can't alter the stairs but we think you should give people a warning somewhere in your description that these stairs may be an issue for those with knee problems or other access issues. We though the left-hand hand rail (approaching from the kitchen) was great but it would work even better if it was longer, spiralling to the top level carpet, otherwise it manages to get folk up and down, even whilst carrying suitcases. The second issue, there was no bath matt for either that or the shower. My wife had a new knee two years ago and is continually checking whether might slip on wet surfaces. One thing you can't do anything about, it was noisy with traffic at times. We lived through the noise of the the rush of traffic a few meters away. It made us realise this is village life.
