About this cabin rental

This cozy cabin, "Stillwaters on the Brazos", awaits you on the Clear Fork of the beautiful Brazos River. With 2 bedrooms featuring a queen bed and a bunk room (with 4 twin beds and a full bed), this delightful retreat offers all the comforts of home, while the charm of the country. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, a washer/dryer, AC, and heating during your stay. The 2 bathrooms come equipped with a all you will need - soap, shampoos, hair dryer, as well as an outdoor shower! Escape to this welcoming cabin and experience the very best of true country living.

The stock tank pool is cool all summer and is the perfect place to chill after a busy day on the river, but is only functional from late April-September. No dogs are allowed in the pool. You could be swinging on the swings, playing in the 2 story playhouse, or fishing all day! And if you want to try your luck on Possum Kingdom Lake, it’s only about a half hour away!

Bring out your glass of wine or beer and listen to the quiet. Kayaks and a canoe offer a close up view of the river, if you choose to put those in. There is no boat ramp, so please choose your "put-in" carefully. There are no fishing poles or gear, so please bring your own.

Remember, this is in the COUNTRY and that brings a slew of animals and dangers with it. Country life has bugs and flying insects quite often! We see deer (but hunting is not allowed), feral pigs, turkeys, great-horned owls, occasional bobcats, and the night sounds are a wonder to behold. The stars shine bright, when there are no city lights to interfere. The river can be dangerous and always wear life jackets when on the Brazos (there are several at the property.)

There are enough beds for 10, but that may be too many people for this space. 7-8 people would be the maximum for comfortable sleeping arrangements.

If you are mobility impaired, this may not be the place for you, as there are many stairs to get into the cabin, or down to the fishing landing. Also, our family has a kitty that sometimes comes with us to Stillwaters, so if you are highly allergic.... think again. If you choose to get in or on the river, remember that comes at your own risk. You will assume those risks and have the responsibility of any accidents or incidents that occur because of those actions. You will not hold the owner responsible for any incidents or accidents outside or inside the home. Your confirmation below, indicates that you have read and agree to those stipulations. There is a security camera that is pointed out at the river and will be easy to find, as well as the location will be in the Welcome Packet at Stillwaters.

It was a secluded, sweet area. We enjoyed the kayaks, time by the campfire and even ventured to town. The nice pizza place on the square was amazing. There were quite a few yellow jackets inside, mostly dying or dead.

I have rented many houses through vrbo and all have been great! With that being said this one was a bit different with the owner needing to approve the rental. Cool no problem. Our stay was approved the same day I requested it.I wasnt told till the day before that there was a yellow jacket issue. I understand the country and near the water has its issues. The yellow jackets made this stay the opposite of relaxing. The kids were always worried of getting stung since these yellow jackets were in the house! Im not saying one or 2... we killed over 30 in the house alone over the weekendHad i been told about this issue before the rental was approved i would have gone with another home.I had to clean the upstairs bathroom sink because there were hairs all over, like some had shaved.Other than the yellow jacket issue the views and little town were amazing.
