Nestled in the serene Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, this cozy cabin offers breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain, creating a peaceful retreat where nature takes center stage. Surrounded by towering hickory, oak, sugar maple, and cherry trees, the property is a haven for wildlife. Frequent visits occur from whitetail deer, turkeys, groundhogs, flying squirrels, and a wide diversity of birds. If you are lucky a visit from a red fox, black bear or bobcat is even possible.
This family-friendly cabin, comfortably sleeping eight, features two spacious bedrooms, a charming loft with two full beds, three and half bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and a game room. Cozy up by two indoor gas fireplaces or enjoy evenings by the firepit under the stars. To fully enjoy all four seasons, the cabin is equipped with heat and air conditioning. The large deck provides the perfect spot for morning coffee, wildlife viewing, and outdoor dining all with an unobstructed view of Grandfather Mountain ridge. The property is on a well-maintained, paved road and offers upper and lower parking areas for multiple vehicles. This allows convenient access in any weather, though 4WD is always recommended for navigating Sugar Mountain. In inclement weather, parking in upper lot is highly recommended. Despite its tranquil, secluded setting, the cabin is close to local amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, shops, and activities, all within a mile. Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain, outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a wide range of seasonal activities such as skiing/snowboarding, snow tubing, snowshoeing, ice skating, golf, tennis, mountain biking, and hiking all just minutes away. Our son graduated from college. Nice place to stay plenty of room close to the school not too far up the mountain. Nice views for October stay. Cleaned as described would do it again. Also will need all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive to drive down driveway next to house.
