Art Deco Studio in East London

Great apartment, lovely building with a really nice garden to relax in. Loved the little details in the apartment, toiletries, towels and bedding.

The room was very aesthetically pleasing, very nicely decorated. Loved the bathroom and kitchen super cute vibes. The area itself is gated so made us feel very safe and relaxed.

We had a small delay with grabbing keys but the host was very polite about it.

An interesting building, which is why I chose over other properties in the area, but once in the studio, it was let down a little by the feeling that is was unloved and being used as a housekeeping storeroom

Keys were collected from a shop across the road, and were a big bunch of keys which seemed to belong to someone else and not just the property. The kitchen was shabby, with cupboard fronts off, a mix of tired looking utensils and grubby pans. The bedding was so incredibly thin, it could hardly be called a duvet, and made from cheap materials. The wardrobe was filled with bedlinen drying on hangers, with lots of odd housekeeping and decorating items. If they needed a store cupboard, it would be better if this was all neat and tidy at one end, and not spread across whole cupboard, it felt like I was staying in a housekeeper's storeroom. The water was extremely hot, with no mixer tap on basin. The shower was terrible ~ either a freezing dribble or a scalding dribble. My stay in London was to ensure I was well rested and fresh for work in the morning ~ I was neither. I also tried to drop keys off at 9am, and the shop was shut ~ I put through hole in shutters, not know if this was safe.
