Lovely 1-Bed Apartment in Hackney London

The flat is in a great location in Hackney - only a walk from Hackney Central and close to a few eateries and breweries - Church being one of our favourites! It’s also very close to Victoria park where we spent one morning - I’d highly recommend coffee and pastries at Pavillion cafe overlooking the water there. The check in instructions on the day were very thorough and really easy to follow. We also managed to visit London in the middle of a heatwave and there was a fan there for us to use which was a life saver! The only thing to note is bring everything you’ll need soap / shower gel wise as there wasn’t any there (not an issue at all as we take our own but I know some people might not) but there’s plenty of towels, bedding etc. All in all a great stay and fantastic value for money! Property was good value for money and the flat was in a good condition.

Check-in instructions were sent to me late quite late on my arrival day and after chasing the agent a couple of times. Other than that, the agent was very polite, responsive and helpful

Location was great.

High use areas were clean, but it clearly hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. At check in the staff sent WhatsApp videos for instructions which you had to download and watch instead of getting simple written ones (at your own mobile data expense). It was pouring with rain so I rushed a bit to get the key and get under cover. There was a man loitering in a car watching me so I asked if it was him sending the check in instructions which he confirmed but then insisted I watch the videos rather than him just telling me what to do which was belittling and rude and made me uncomfortable. We were only given 2 parking passes but stayed 2 nights so needed 3. He insisted we just needed to change the pass in the morning and they don’t ticket until late in the day. This was untrue and we received a fine which we appealed but was not granted.
