Beautiful place

Beautiful place, very spacious and with all amenities. The rooms are large, with plenty of natural light and a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided.

It's a bit far from town, but close to the food market. There aren't enough lounge chairs by the pool due to high demand; there should be more. It's confusing to have three hotels in the same location, and check-in is a cumbersome and lengthy process. The high security deposit of 2000 baht for lost keys should also be clearly stated.

Pool was good and location was great

Greeted by unhappy staff , place was extremely dirty incase toilets in any part of hotel were not cleaned the whole time we were there . Room was dirty bath hadn't been cleaned toilet pipe was leaking. Breakfast was shocking very little to choose from and everything swarming with fly's ( we ate out ) cups and plates dirty Considering this was one of the dearer hotels we booked on our trip it was a disgrace. Such a shame as it could be a fantastic hotel if they bothered to sort it out

Memorable

The hotel is in front of the beach and very close to the night market, which is pretty convenient both for wandering around and also for doing some island tours. It has definitely seen better days but our rooms weren’t as bad as the other reviews have claimed, they were very spacious and not so dirty. On the other hand, the hallways are all open which is perfect for cockroaches and other little bugs. Cats were also wandering around but that’s a plus. Also cleaning happens randomly throughout the day (even at night) and I guess they just clean the rooms that specifically request it and not the rest of the hotel.

We came here the day before New Year’s Eve so the hotel was pretty expensive. Also the staff wasn’t aware of our booking. They left us waiting for hours, not explaining clearly what was being done to help us and being kind of rude to us. In the end, they were nice and upgraded 2 out of the 3 rooms we had booked.

Large impressive Hotel which has seen better days? The Room was huge with lots of storage and surfaces to unpack your belongings and large bathroom with bath. The gardens within the grounds are well kept and mature making a lovely view from the balcony. We also liked the location it is at the far end on Ao Nang so quiet and the nearby beach was empty and had good swimming. It was near a nice night market which had lots of restaurants bars, shops etc for all you need. The staff were kind and helpful.

The Hotel building is truly impressive with beautiful high temple like roof, however it has seen better days? The decor is dated and tired and you have to navigate lots and ramps or stairs to get in and out of the hotel. The beds were also very firm but this is usual in Thailand.

Great location. Amazing architecture of the principal building and staff trying hard to deliver.

Room was spacious, a few high shelves were a little dusty, otherwise clean and comfortable. Firm mattress, but we slept well. Room was cleaned in late afternoon during our stay. We actually liked the old world charm of the room. Retain the receipt for the THB 2000.00 deposit. You access the rooms from the main Ayodhaya Reception, buy the voucher for breakfast (THB 250.00 pp) and leave your keys there etc. We had breakfast twice and it was fine. It rained a lot during our 5 nights and we didn’t use the balcony as it overlooked the entrance/car parking and rain water didn’t drain away. Instead, we sat upstairs overlooking the garden and trees to watch the birds and read. Staff were friendly and tried hard to give good customer service. There is much to do to make the huge main building of the Ayodhaya Resort fully functional and tidy, but the location is great and the main, palatial building is very impressive. The Night Market, restaurants and sea front are close by. Good proximity to ferries, boat piers etc. We were happy with the quality and price paid.

Please not that Reception for Successive and MW Hotels is located in the main Ayodhaya Resort Building. Don’t go down the muddy track by the Successive sign as we nearly did! Have the full address ready to show the transport provider as this too can avoid confusion. We were surprised to see that the entire complex is sold under different brands and prices. Had we booked another brand at a much higher price that may not have been the case. No plugs in sink or bath, so bring your own.

Would not recommend or stay again

Spacious room and large bed

When we arrived we did not even know where to enter - there is a big sign next to a closed gate and honestly it looked like a closed hotel. The room and bathroom was very run down, hairdryer was almost dangerous to use (the whole thing was vibrating so much when on and also seemed very old). The towels were also made of very weird material (more resembling a bed cover). The hot water in the shower was also on and off. Stained bed sheets. Breakfast also not great. Would stay elsewhere next time - even if for just one night.

The Overlook hotel

This hotel is very different , worth a night or two just for the experience it’s got the Overlook hotel vibe , it’s a massive place split into 3 hotels , it’s how I imagine hotels in the old soviet block to be ! Pool area is good ! Rooms very big balcony very big ,,,, here’s Johnny !!!!!

Check-in was an hour later at 3 pm , it’s a bit chaotic , lots of paper and stapling , tv as most in Thailand don’t work ,

Es ist nicht sauber und baufällig. Rezeption zusammen mit zwei anderen Hotels. Es ist dunkel, muffig und wirkt als "Lost Place" Personal ist unfreundlich und nicht hilfsbereit. Achtung Verdacht auf Touri Abzocke.

4泊しましたが、そのうち3日間は冷房が壊れた部屋でした。チェックインの時に、冷房が壊れていることに気づき、その時点で指摘したにもかかわらず、他の部屋は満室だと言われ(絶対満室ではなかった)移動させてもらえなかった。最後の一日だけ、冷房が効いた部屋でした。タオル交換や水の補充がされておらず、毎日フロントまで取りに行かなければなりませんでした。しかも、頼んでもすぐ出てこず、フロントでかなり待たされます。部屋からフロントまで5分以上歩かないと着きません。半年前に予約したのですが、なぜか予約したホテルではなく、別の複合施設の方に案内されました。冷房のことをしつこく言うと、あなた達の部屋はアップグレードされているのだから、文句を言うな、ということを言われました。スタッフの中には良い人もいましたが、このホテルはおすすめしません。他のホテルを検討して下さい。

Pessimo 🙁🤬colchão de mola super duro, quarto com cheiro de mofo, geladeira não funcionava era só sair do quarto que ela desligava. Luzes com mal contato. Banheira suja e sem ralo. A limpeza não tinha horário certo e era muito mal feita. Nunca mais voltarei e nem recomendarei Terrible 🙁🤬super hard spring mattrass, room with a musty smell, the refrigerator didn’t work, just leave the room and she turned it off. Lights with bad contact. Dirty bathtub without drain. The cleaning didn’t have the right time and it was very poorly done. I will never come back and I will not recommend it

Die Lage war gut und zentral

Das Zimmer war nicht sauber. Die Betten waren voller Flecken. Dies haben wir direkt gemeldet, doch erst nach drei Tagen hintereinander, wo wir es gemeldet hatten wurden unsere Betten frisch bezogen. Weiter hatte der Boden und die Vorhänge ebenfalls Flecken, dies machte den Eindruck, als wäre das Zimmer schon länger nicht mehr gereinigt worden. Weiter wurden uns jeden Tag aufs Neue die Handtücher weggenommen und nicht mehr ersetzt, sodass wir jeden Tag für neue Handtücher fragen gehen mussten.

Ubicación práctica y tranquila

Nos encantó la ubicación de esta habitación, hotel ubicado al frente de la playa y a dos cuadras del mercado nocturno. Las instalaciones son como las de un palacio, aunque tienen sus años y se nota el desgaste. La habitación muy espaciosa, la relación calidad-precio nos pareció muy buena

Das Zimmer und das Bett waren super gross. Es gab eine Dusche und eine Badewanne. Die Angestellten waren super freundlich. Keine 5 Minuten zum Strand und zum Nightmarkt. Außerdem gab es zwei pools.

Das Zimmer roch muffig und ist ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen. Hier ist eine Renovierung dringend angesagt. Scheinbar gibt es aber mehrere hotels unter der selben Führung. Die anderen Zimmer scheinen besser zu sein. Ach ja, in die Stadt ist es zum laufen eigentlich zu weit. Ich würde nicht nochmal hier übernachten wollen.
