Everything was great, we liked the stay and hosts; everything was comfortable.

I liked that the hosts were really helpful and the accommodation was clean.

Small space and not too new kitchen utensils. But it’s not a big thing.

Welcoming and comfortable

The guest house it’s very cozy, a lot of plants all around so it gives privacy from the other two guest houses, the room/bathroom were very clean and there was everything we needed. The owners are genuinely the nicest people, they made sure that we were having a good stay and offered us to participate at one ceremony that was held in the temple right next to the guest house. They gave us their traditional Balinese ceremonial garments to be able to enter, and explained to us everything about it. Suksma for the wonderful experience 🙏🏻

The only issue we had was that the door to the guest house was a little faulty, and it was really hard to lock/unlock, but the owners assisted us straight away trying their best to fix it.

Hospitality was really good. Eventhough the location is in bit outskirts and inside ubud. It was peaceful and beautiful

No breakfast is included in any of the rooms. I think if it was included, then it would have been a plus.

I’m happy with my stay.

1. Quiet, away from the centre noise 2. The pool-facing terrace 3. Surrounded by green 4. Clean and modern bathroom 5. Tall ceiling room 6. A TV that my phone can cast my subscribed streaming services to in rainy days 7. Family-owned business and proactive to fix any issues, e.g. flickering light bulbs

I have nothing to complain, If anything can make it better, a microwave to warm up my overnight Grab food in rainy days.

A beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The pool and gardens are stunning and very well maintained. Our room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen—with a small fridge and stove—was really useful for self-catering. It’s in a great location, close to Ubud, and the hosts can organise bikes, laundry, massages, and tours. The family is lovely, very caring and easy to communicate with. They even brought us fruit and snacks during our stay! The nearby temple added something really special—we were lucky to witness several ceremonies. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, privacy, and warm hospitality.

Great place with really good people

Cempaka was a really nice experience for us. It is situated slightly north of the busy center of Ubud, making it a great base for sightseeing. The room was stylish & cozy, and the view on the swimming pool was nice. The swimming pool itself was lovely too! A great place to come back to after a day trip or activity in Ubud center. The laundry service exceeded all expectations and the driver they recommended was really nice as well. We asked a lot of questions and learnt a lot during the drive. Pak Kadek was a splendid host. He was very considerate and helpful with all the questions we had. We had the luck that a special ceremony was taking place in the nearby temple while we were there. Pak Kadek brought us along and guided us through the experience and Ibu Niwayan made sure we dressed respectable & traditional. We feel very lucky and grateful for that experience and their hospitality. This place is definitely recommended! Lastly: ask accommodations and drivers directly instead of through platforms if you can. A driver can recommend an accommodation and vice versa. It makes a big difference for them and their community.

Great value for price and excellent hosts.

The property owners were excellent, very attentive, and incredibly helpful in answering all my questions. The room was a great value for price! While not the closets to downtown Ubud, it's only a 10min. Gojek/motorbike away.

On certain nights there was music from the nearby temple that I could hear until 11pm or so, and I'm generally an early to bed kind of person. Bring ear plugs just in case :)

Lovely homestay in peaceful area

Beautiful rooms, excellent facilities, with kind and helpful owners :) You can tell there was a lot of thought and care put into the place - excellent attention to detail. A bit out of central so nice and quiet. Would love to return again later!

Miejsce jest po prostu ok

Kameralne miejsce, z dala od głównej drogi. Miejsce jest po prostu ok. Uprzejmy wlaściciel, w kontakcie telefonicznym, widziałam go raz tylko przy zameldowaniu, poza tym nie ma obecnego personelu. Organizują na miejscu wycieczki, załatwiają pranie - nie korzystałam z tych opcji, ale dobrze znać możliwości.

Brak sejfu. Dość głośno (motory, koguty), ściany nie mają złączenia z dachem, przez co wchodzą do pokoju jaszczurki. Kuchnia na świeżym powietrzu, przez co było bardzo dużo mrówek. Trochę zaniedbany basen (parasol i pufy brudne), miałam wrażenie, że łazienka nie była zbyt czysta (posadzka).

Sehr tolle Unterkunft und Anlage mit phänomenalen Eigentümern. Umgebung leider etwas laut.

Die beiden Eigentümer sind phänomenal! Super lieb und Antworten stets sehr schnell via WhatsApp auf jegliche Anliegen. Die Lage ist super, außer wenn man öfters ins Zentrum von Ubud fahren möchte, dann ist der Verkehr furchtbar, was aber jetzt nicht an der Lage von der Unterkunft liegt. Es ist super sauber und die gesamte Anlage sehr gepflegt.

Der einzige Punkt der hier als negativ angeführt werden kann, ist leider der Komfort. Sowohl die Betten empfanden wir beide nicht als angenehm, als auch die Lautstärke von der Straße kommend. Mehrere schreiende Hähne ab 3-4 Uhr in der Nacht, sowie auch laute Motorräder haben es nicht wirklich möglich gemacht in den 4 Nächten einen erholsamen Schlaf zu haben.

Kadek est extrêmement sympathique et disponible à tout moment. Au moindre problème ou à la moindre requête il intervient dans les 5 minutes. Il est d’excellent conseil et nous explique la vie à la balinaise, le sens des gestes quotidiens, de l’hindouisme balinais mais aussi nous conseille sur les activités ou manifestations d’Ubud et ses environs

Rien, tout est parfait. l’emplacement à côté du temple du village et vers les rizières, la piscine, la propreté et les petites attentions.

Magnifique logement à 10 minutes du centre d’Ubud. Les hôtes étaient adorables et aux petits soins ! Je recommande 🌟

Le logement était magnifique, tout était bien pensé dans chaque détails. Les hôtes sont aux petit soins, souriants et toujours disponibles. Je recommande vraiment ce logement pour les personnes qui souhaitent être un peu à l’écart du centre d’Ubud. ( 10min en scooter)

La nuit et au petit matin il y avait beaucoup de bruit… ( poules, scooters, chantier…). Compliqué de bien dormir, mais le lieu était agréable donc nous avons fait abstraction.

Geweldig!

Dit was een van de leukste plekjes waar wij zijn verbleven. Het is super gezellig, omdat er maar 3 huisjes zijn met een leuk zwembad erbij. Je wordt met open armen ontvangen en kan scooters huren of je was laten doen. Hier kan je even lekker ontspannen buiten het drukke Ubud. Tijdens ons verblijf kregen we nog lekker sinaasappels en via een appje staan ze altijd klaar als er iets aan de hand is. Ik zou hier zeker terugkomen!

Un séjour merveilleux !

Un petit coin de paradis dès qu’on pousse la porte du Cempaka Kembar Guest House. C’est très intimiste et paisible, il n’y a que 3 petits bungalows autour d’une jolie piscine. La chambre est spacieuse, la salle de bien aussi, la literie est super ! En plus il y a une petite cuisine en extérieure si on souhaite se préparer à manger sur notre terrasse privative.

L’emplacement est un peu éloigné du centre et il n’y a rien a proximité immédiate mais en 10/15min de scooter on est au cœur de la ville donc ce n’est pas un problème. Autrement les coqs chantent très fort en plein nuit mais mais ça fait parti du charme, mieux vaut prévoir des bouchons d’oreilles pour ceux dont le sommeil est léger.
