We are lovers of very old buildings and the chateau did not disappoint. Parts date back to the year 1200 and the property has been lightly restored since. It is in essence a family home rather than a hotel so must be appreciated as such. The rooms are large and furnished in a bijou eclectic manner. There is a kitchen area for guests to use and we were treated to a log fire whilst there for the night. Sadly we were unable to meet the owners during our visit, it would have been super to discover their vision for the chateau, We were the only guests for the night but were welcomed by Karin who went out of her way to welcome us and provide a guided tour of the chateau grounds.
The only negative is that the chateau currently has only one bathroom. Personally this only added to the charm for us. Our car satnav could not find the chateau but we managed with google map.

De heren Gijs en Angelo wat een gepassioneerde eenheid. Een zeer hartelijk ontvangst. Een warm bad bij deze personen thuis in hun privé domein. Hier verblijven is een beleving. In de nacht dwalen door het chateau, dat gevoel MOET je ervaren. Ik kan nog zoveel schrijven, maar ik zeg mensen: GEWOON BOEKEN.
Helemaal niets. O ja toch ik had helaas maar 2 nachtjes geboekt.

Beautiful surroundings and stunning property
No locks on bedroom door or main outside door so felt vulnerable. 1 shared bathroom a long way from our room, downstairs through a hall, past a kitchen and 9 other people using it too
