Serendib Cottage

Overall a lovely stay. The house was clean and exactly and described, with good facilities and location. We arrived to scones and a bottle of a wine which we thought was a lovely touch so thank you very much.

Unfortunately, the booking.com info page is a little out-dated. We were told to collect our key from the front key safe which was empty and only when I rang Sykes cottages did they resolve this for us. The number on the listing took us through to a random guy who was not affiliated with the property at all. Additionally, the wifi was patchy throughout our whole stay and on our final day it did not work at all.

The location is brilliant, within 5 minutes walk to main street with shops, beach and paid parking. The property is very big, beautiful decor and plenty of gadgets and accessories in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable with quality duvets/pillows. Spacious bedrooms. Has 2 showers and 2 toilets. When we arrived there was a gorgeous gesture of a hamper of scones and tea/coffee and prosecco! Very nice touch! Cleaning products were also provided and an information folder. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again 😊

There is a raised part at the top of the stairs that a few of us had tripped on and I feel is dangerous being it is at the top of the stairs. The back gate has a large gap at the bottom and so we had to block it up with the bins to keep our small dog from escaping. The parking at the back is tricky and uneven, we had scraped one of our vehicles. Better for small cars. Managed to get a space at the front of the house so was okay there.
