Beautiful place to stay and very kind host. Highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our time here very much. Great location for exploring the area especially Skellig Michael. Nice pubs in town with great food and friendly people.
Lacks a microwave which is standard in the US, but Monica helped us out.

Great location with wonderful views across the water to Portmagee and of the pasture land adjacent to the cottage. Our room and bathroom were stylishly decorated, with a table and two chairs to enjoy the view, and lovely drapes to draw over the huge picture windows at night. We were charmed by first hearing, then spotting, “Harry” the Ring-necked Pheasant, and were entertained by the hares, cows and calf that grazed outside the window.
The room also had a mini fridge, which our hostess kindly stocked with a delightful assortment of items for breakfast, including yogurt, fruit, water (thank you!), milk, bread for toast, and cereal. The fridge also had a little freezer compartment for our keep-cold bricks for our lunch cooler. There was also a Smeg toaster and kettle, and a coffee maker for delicious cups of Nespresso coffee pods.
We really wish the bath had a standing shower, which is much easier to use, instead of a tub with a wand. That's just a personal preference.

I loved every moment. I love the beautiful spot, the lovely hostess Monica. I loved my gorgeous cosy room. I loved my views. I loved being so close to nature. I loved the old world feeling of the area and ventia island and Portmagee. I loved the crazy weather. I loved visiting Skellig michale and seeing the Gannet colony. Thank you so very much! I was sad to leave!
Everything was amazing! I was not there to pick holes in anything and I was appreciative of everything. I was on a mission and my mission was accomplished. To visit this little spot of heaven!
