Douglas House

Excellent location, a lovely tree-lined street away from the hustle and bustle of town. However the town itself is within easy reach with plenty of locations and choices for food and shopping. As host, John was extremely welcoming. A genuinely nice guy, he made me feel relaxed about sharing part of the house and was keen to ensure that I felt welcome and well catered for. The room was spotless. The bed was both clean and comfortable and the shower pressure was good (low pressure is my pet peeve)! Breakfast was self-service which meant that there were no rigid times to adhere to. That suited me perfectly as I had an early start in the morning. I happily recommend Douglas House for anyone looking to stop in Stafford for whatever the reason might be.

Douglas House fully met my expectations, I don't have any negative feedback to give.

Perfect location. Really attentive host. Breakfast included. Close to city centre and station. Comfy bed.

Shared bathroom that was on the ground floor.

I found the host very friendly. He offered me a cup of tea, despite my late arrival. I enjoyed cereal, toast and coffee at breakfast. I also found the room comfortable and clean ......as i was not in a rush I sat out in the garden on a sunny day not departing until 1pm and this was no problem. (Salute 🫡 for that to the establishment ❤️🎈). I will definitely stay in Douglas House again and would recommend it. Troy💪🫡✌️ Nice1 guys
