La Villetta Fiera Airport

Sista anhalten för oss innan det var dags att flyga hem till Sverige igen. Åkte tåg till stationen Ponte Galeria från Roma Termini, med byte vid Roma Ostiense. Från stationen var det endast en kort promenad till boendet på några minuter. Tog 12 min att åka vidare till flygplatsen dagen därpå, vilket var skälet till att vi valde att bo där. Fick bra instruktioner från Ana Maria i förväg via WhatsApp, gällande hur incheckningen skulle gå till. Hon kom också förbi och välkomnande oss vid ankomsten, trots att vi anlände sent. Väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående. Standarden var helt okej och det fanns AC i båda sovrummen. Allt funkade bra för ändamålet.

The beds were comfortable, and the girl who met us was friendly enough.

The apartment had all the hallmarks of a rental organisation that doesn't really care about the service they provide. The bedroom was badly maintained (bad/exposed wiring, broken decoration etc.), the bathroom had a weird smell, and even though there was a balcony in one of the two rooms, the doors were sealed shut. Whether this was to keep intruders out or customers in, neither is great. There were exactly two coffee capsules for breakfast, one for me and one for my dad. When I accidentally knocked over my coffee in the early morning, their cost-cutting attitude grated with me particularly. The apartment is in gated community, and the area outside feels a bit sketchy at night, and I didn't feel particularly safe walking to pick up dinner 25 mins away - all the buildings had barred windows and locked gates.
