Lucy's House, elegante alloggio rustico con tutti i comfort moderni a Pisa

Nagyon kedves és segítőkész a tulajdonos hölgy. Nagyon tiszta és igényes szállás.

Több napot voltunk és szerettünk volna a helyszínen reggelizni (saját bevásárlásból), sajnos nem volt semmilyen evőeszköz, tányér a "konyhában". Az igaz, hogy kávé, tea és mikró igen. A közös helyiségben nincs klíma, így nyáron ott elviselhetetlen a meleg.

Lucia ist eine sehr engagierte Gastgeberin, die ihre Pension mit Leidenschaft führt. Alles ist absolut sauber und gut organisiert. Die Zimmer sind klimatisiert und ruhig. Angenehm: Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, Kaffee und Tee gratis. Mit dem Auto ist Pisa Innenstadt gut zu erreichen, Parkplatz vor dem Haus ist gratis. In unmittelbarer Nähe ein Lidl-Supermarkt und eine Mensa, in der auch Touristen günstig essen können. Lucia bietet Stadtplan mit möglicher Route und weiteren Tipps an.

Location near Italian CNR which I was visiting. Bed was very comfortable.

The place was a little difficult to find because it is just a house in an isolated area. Check in started with a lot of time listening to instructions before we could go to the room and settle in after a long journey. All kind of restrictions -- can't eat or drink in the room and the way she acted in handling things gave out a loud and clear message that the she wants us to treat everything like it is so fragile. There was no desk to work on which is a must in hotel room for me. When I complained, she brought in a bench table with slats from the patio and moved a bamboo relaxing chair as work chair -- just a lousy work arrangement. Even that little move of the chair, she had to reach out to the floor and inspect/rub the spot on the floor to presumably remove scratches! After she left, we felt very uncomfortable and didn't want to use her property at all. All this, after paying some $170 per night in the small town of Pisa and in a rather isolated location. Not worth it at all. Almost no public transportation there and taxis are almost impossible to get if you don't speak Italian. The breakfast meant simply a coffee machine sitting in a common area where you are allowed to eat/drink plus a basket in our room with some packaged cookies and the like. That's not what you expect in a "house" for breakfast. After this experience, we will be careful to avoid private houses and instead always go to a commercial hotel. In fact, I mistakenly had thought that "Lucy's House" was merely a cozy name, not a real house, otherwise I will avoid it. Definitely not going there if we visit Pisa again.
