The location in the heart of Condesa was excellent; the fact that the house is set back from the road means it is quiet (on the last night, however, we barely slept because of noise made by people upstairs; we complained, the complaint was received, apologies provided, but no refund). The rooms are spacious and the beds large and comfortable, sheets clean. We did not use the kitchen at all. The owners/agents are helpful and easy to contact, albeit remotely. We would, however, advise you to read the small print in the contract.

The advert is for a house, in fact it turned out to be the ground-floor apartment, which is darkish and has no view, a bit like a basement flat in London. The property relies heavily on the description 'with garden'; doubtless this is exceptional in CDMX, but in fact it is merely a rectangle of grass surrounded by high walls. The property is in a more or less acceptable state, but feels a bit run-down and needs refurbishing (some attempt has been made in the past, but clearly a cheap job); this is particularly so in the bathroom; all the fixtures need upgrading; you had the feeling they were hanging by a thread, taps loose from their moorings etc. Plus, late on the last night, the flush on the toilet broke and was unusable - it's just old (admittedly, the owners offered to get a plumber). Flooring needs to be renewed too. NB: the photo below shows the bathtub with period-feature taps; there is also a more modern shower cabinet in useable condition. We cannot say anything about the kitchen because we did not touch it. There is a Nespresso maker but no capsules. Does one travel with Nespresso capsules? Some toilet paper was provided but not enough, so you need to stock up, depending how long you are there. In general, the owners would be well advised to invest more in a revamp of the whole place. The doors are absolutely not easy to lock/unlock; this has been a problem in numerous properties we have rented through Booking, from Lisbon to Tokyo: shouldn't Booking insist that entry doors be equipped with easy-to-open locks - many people arrive late at night in the dark. One last point: immediately outside the house, the pavement has big cracks in it, caused by roots of a tree: this appears to be a general problem in CDMX, but beware, it could be dangerous, especially in the dark.

Comfortable apartment for my husband and I, plus my mother. Great location in La Condesa neighborhood. And it was so relaxing to have a garden in which to sit and relax when the weather cooperated (it was very cold I CDMX when we visited). The hosts were very friendly and helpful

The nights were very cold in CDMX when we were there in November. We used every available blanket on our beds, and just barely stayed warm enough on the 2 coldest nights. There were 3 space heaters in the apartment, but none of them worked. One or two extra blankets would have helped us stay warm.
