Car parking is a general problem in Switzerland, as you cannot park everywhere you want, and parking houses are so expensive. We used Athletic Sport centre as we could not be ensured that the hotel guidance for parking will not allow us a safe( cheap and no penalty) car parking

I like the location as it was situated along the main road and the wholesome surrounding environment, which is near a park where families with young children will gather and play. Despite this, the neighborhood is still serene and peaceful. There is a barber shop and a Middle-Eastern food joint along the street. It is about 15-20 mins walk to the city centre and main train station.
The lever of door/window to the balcony was stuck so we were unable to close it properly. No lift to the apartment and the walk between train station to apartment building is sloping down/up so we had a really good 'workout' carrying our luggage when checking in/out.

Cleanliness & kitchen:
I found the kitchen utensils below basic standards. The kettle had visible limescale, and the overall cleanliness did not make the space suitable for safe meal preparation. As I am on medication with strict dietary restrictions, I specifically booked a place to cook my own meals. Unfortunately, the state of the kitchen utensils meant I couldn’t do so, which significantly impacted my stay.
Safety & access:
The building’s main entrance was frequently left unlocked. This created an ongoing sense of insecurity and is not consistent with what I’ve experienced elsewhere in Switzerland.
Noise & location:
The apartment is in a very noisy area. Street noise was constant enough that I had to keep the windows closed at all times, which reduced comfort and ventilation.
Heating & sleep quality:
The heating system appears very old and produced loud mechanical noises, particularly at night. This disrupted my sleep repeatedly.
Policies & customer care:
Despite these issues, the property did not allow cancellation of a subsequent booking. Being unable to adjust or cancel felt unfair given the circumstances, effectively forcing me to remain in an environment that wasn’t suitable.
Overall:
This accommodation did not meet the minimum standards I’ve come to expect in Switzerland. The combination of cleanliness, safety, noise, and maintenance issues along with inflexible policies, made for a frustrating stay. I would not book this property again.

Nice room, spacious and clean. Excellent restaurant 'Sahara' opposite. Good to have access to laundry facilities.The flat looks onto the street but it was not noisy.
Check-in required a lot of internet access. A simple email with key code and instructions would have been much easier for those travelling with limited email access.

A great spot!
Nice, modern, spacious, well equipped. Comfortable beds. Easy access. Had a handful of basics, coffee capsules.
A little road noise due to location but easily blocked out by closing the windows if it bothers you.
Had some mix ups with trying to get deliveries and the doorbell not seeming to work. Not a big deal at all, just to note.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
• Dirty cutlery left unwashed in the drawers.
• Not enough towels (one towel for three people!).
• Blocked shower that left us standing in dirty water.
• And the absolute worst: at 2AM, while I was sleeping with my baby, strangers with suitcases unlocked and opened our door. The door was locked, yet their key still worked. Terrifying, unsafe, and completely unacceptable.
When I complained, management brushed it off and basically blamed me for not locking the door “properly” — which I absolutely did. Their response was even more insulting than the experience itself.
Noisy, dirty, unsafe, and dismissive staff. I travel often, and this was by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Avoid at all costs.

We really liked the property overall — the room was comfortable, and the location was excellent. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay!
One thing I find inconvenient is that the apartment has no mirror apart from the one in the bathroom, which is placed too high for children to use. It would be much more practical to have at least one full-length or child-accessible mirror elsewhere in the apartment.

The location is great—within walking distance to many attractions. There are also plenty of parking options nearby, which was very convenient for us. The apartment was really nice and cozy! The host was very kind. We accidentally pressed the alarm button, which caused some noise in the building. I informed the host, who assured us they would take care of it without any fuss. We enjoyed very much our stay.
It doesn't have elevators, so if you have a big suitcase it will take a while. But otherwise walking up is totally fine.

Room is warm and welcoming, bedding and pillows are fresh and comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are equipped with everything you need. Even though we don’t really used them. We arrived late on the day and tired. It’s easy to find and easy to enter the apartment. Maybe because of whole day traveling, I had a super good sleep!
The noise isolation was not so good. I can hear the neighbours talking and walking around in the night. The only thing I don’t like is it’s right next to a main Street, so of course the traffic noises.

Ich hatte Probleme, den Schlüssel zu bekommen, da ich den Passcode nicht finden konnte. Am Ende hat es aber gut geklappt.
Im Eingangsbereich roch es stark nach Urin. Die Kaffeemaschine funktionierte nicht und es gibt keinen grossen Spiegel in der Wohnung.

Es liegt sehr zentral - die Olma Messe war zu Fuss direkt und unkompliziert erreichbar. Die Schlüsselübergabe war zuerst nicht ganz klar, da ich übersehen habe, dass ich zuerst die Taxe noch bezahlen musste, bevor ich den Schlüsselcode erhalte.
Danach war es easy. Wir haben nicht an Gewürz gedacht fürs Kochen, zum Glück waren Salz und Pfeffer vorhanden.
das Bett war total unbequem..wir haben nicht gut geschlafen, und auch die Kopfkissen waren zweckmässig. Es ist absolut hellhörig - man hört die anderen nebenan wirklich auch reden und versteht, was sie sagen.

Die Lage in der Innenstadt war wie beschrieben in Ordnung. Jedoch ist St. Gallen für Personen, die mit ihrem eigenen PKW anreisen wenig zu empfehlen, wenn die Unterkunft keinen eigenen Stellplatz hat. Ständig muss man Parkgebühren bezahlen, ob im Freien oder in einer öffentlichen Tiefgarage. Und es ist nicht leicht und immer gut erkennbar, für welchen Zeitraum geparkt werden darf und bezahlt werden muss. Am Ende bekommt er geschätzte Tourist, dann auch noch einen Bußgeldbescheid über 100 CHF ans Auto geheftet.
Die Unterkunft ist angeblich ausschließlich für Nichtraucher. Beim ersten Öffnen roch es in der gesamten Wohnung stark nach kaltem Zigarettenrauch! Die Betten waren so gemacht, als wäre kurz vorher erst jemand aufgestanden. Das eine Bettlaken war extrem verschmutzt! Offensichtlich waren es alte Blutflecken, die dann ohne vorher sinnvolle Reinigung einfach in der Waschmaschine mit gewaschen wurden. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt! Wenn es ein Hotel gewesen wäre und Personal vor Ort gewesen wäre, hätte ich mich umgehend beschwert. Die Reklamation über booking.com verläuft aktuell noch und das leider sehr schleppend. Außerdem haben wir lange schwarze Haare an verschiedenen Stellen in der Wohnung gefunden. Niemand von uns drei Reisenden hat schwarze lange Haare. Die Reinigung war also offensichtlich eher nur so semi. Dazu passt, dass Geschirr noch in der Spülmaschine stand.

Nos quedamos en familia y fue una excelente experiencia. El alojamiento estaba muy limpio, bien ubicado y con acceso fácil. La comunicación con el encargado fue siempre rápida y amable, y las indicaciones de ingreso muy claras y fáciles de seguir. ¡Recomendado!

Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten, hat einen schönen Holzfußboden, eine moderne Einrichtung, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und schalldichte Fenster zu der befahrenen Straße, an der sie liegt. Der Zugang wird vor der Ankunft mit Photos vom Schlüsselkasten und der Türe sehr hilfreich beschrieben.
Kopfkissen und Bettdecke könnten von erheblich besserer Qualität sein. Das Küchenfenster könnte eine Gardine bekommen, um die Aussicht zur Straße zu kaschieren. Eine Tee- oder Kaffeekanne könnte die Küchenausstattung ergänzen.

Sehr moderne und ansprechende Ausstattung. Durch die vielen Fenster war es sehr hell. Der kleine Balkon war schön, um am Nachmittag kurz abzuschalten. Jedoch an einer viel befahrenen Straße etwas laut aber das ist ok.
