The staircases the bit steep and tiny you need to be extra careful with them.

Its a nice, quint little place. Its so quiet and peaceful. The indoor fire place was lovely. The four legged inspector was a highlight. Came in and inspected that all was good and even decided to have a little lay down in the sun. Loved that! Im a big animal lover and was missing my babies at home. Definitely lifted my spirits.
The road was a bit tough to get to our cabin (Polo). We did struggle a bit to get up the steep hill but the view at the top was worth it. I definitely suggest some bug spray as there were definitely a lot of creepy crawlies that joined us. A bit disappointed with the coffee option that was available. We enjoy our coffee but a quick trip to Clay Cafe sorted our coffee fix.

The cabin itself is beautiful and cozy. The stairs weren't much of a hassle to get up, just be careful when wearing socks. The kitchen and bathroom had all needed amenities and the electric blankets were a wonderful addition. Really nice that the deck was covered so we could still braai in the rain. The view was breathtaking.
Our shower did not want to heat up at all the first night and we had to unfortunately walk down to the manager Sue (such a pleasure to communicate with, she is very hands on!) who had to play around with the geyser batteries, but eventually we got hot water. The wood fired hot tub we tried heating 2 nights in a row for about 3 or 4+ hours to absolutely no avail. We booked Treehaven specifically for the hot tub and weren't able to use it at all as the weather was quite cool. A big let down for us unfortunately. The ambient outdoor light by the hot tub was burnt out and on the ground so my partner and I did not get to experience the same warm lighting on the deck like all the other couples we could see had theirs on. The manager tried to fix it but said the whole thing would have to be replaced. Ultimately not sure if the experience was worth what it cost us.
