The property is beautiful and luxurious and has everything you need. I didn’t know that the price we paid included a housekeeper, which was such a bonus. Our 5 year old niece travelled with us and in the mornings when Barbara (the housekeeper) arrived, she first took some time to play games and colour with her - there were games / toys / crayons etc available for kids to use. We returned from lunch one day and saw that Barbara had even done our laundry! We’re going back next Winter and taking the family with.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property, just the check-in process. We arrived late and trying to find our way around in the dark was a challenge. More specific instructions on how to get to the welcome centre to check in would be great. Also there is no number outside the property so we weren’t sure we were at the right place.

We had an amazing time at Zimbali Eden, the estate is fabulous and the location of the house was great for walking access to both Zimbali Lodge and The Valley of the pools. We also did all the trail walks on the map, the estate is huge and simply stunning! The bedrooms are laid out in separate buildings around the pool and main living accommodation which worked perfectly for us and our teenage daughter. It gave us all our own privacy. The views from the deck over the golf green are stunning. Lovely bean to cup coffee machine and a full time housekeeper were the icing on the cake! We had monkeys and deer visit the garden most days. Slight problem with the lights one day that kept tripping but the host soon arranged an electrician to come and sort. We used uber a lot but id recommend a car as you have to get daily access codes for the uber drivers which can be a little tedious. Very close to the Ballito Lifestyle centre, we also arranged a safari game drive and were collected from the accommodation for this. We are already planning a return trip as we had such a great time!

Open plan kitchen, dining room, lounge and patio area were great, nicely designed and furnished (apart from being separate from bedrooms).

Wooden decking around pool area was in poor condition and required some urgent maintenance. Only one AC unit in open plan kitchen/lounge area. No AC in bedrooms. No golf cart on property, this is a primary attraction for me when visiting Zimbali. Driveway and garage area requires some work, no lockable garage doors. 3x bedrooms completely separate from main kitchen/lounge open plan section of property, not ideal for young children in my opinion. Overpriced for what you get, I won't be visiting again.
