Hotel Manor - Datchet, Windsor

All that was needed was a bed and a bathroom as it was an o right stay prioritising money for everything else. So, we very much knew not to expect anything great - we did not book great out of choice. Knew the hotel historically as lived in the area. However; bin in bathroom had not been emptied from previous guest, electric sockets attached to wall by sticking tape, hotel (a big victim of covid) was clean but very shabby indeed. However, it have what we needed for the night and we’d had no grand expectations. Realistically, if all you need is basic bed and basic bathroom then it’s ok but to not have bins emptied prior to our occupancy and electric sickest totally non compliant being attached to wakes with sellotape is not a plus in any establishment. It did what I needed but was a very long way from acceptable even at this price. Health and safety should be a bigger priority. Woke early so left earkt. Staff amazing. They deserve better environment and facilities too.

Ideal location for the Datchet Golf Club, nice rooms, lovely staff, easy to park.

Late check in worked fine tho nobody told me where to park , I just stumbled across the parked cars at back of hotel and luckily got the last spot . You were meant to write your reg number down In hotel but nobody mentioned it . The room was ok , bed linen nice and comfy bed but room 207 had the thinnest walls and neighbouring room was snoring like a train all night 😱 the window clip didn’t work so had to keep it shut and the room smelt bit stale . Carpet was really in need of a hoover , didn’t feel good walking barefoot on that and bedside table needed a good clean . There was no bin in the room and I’d brought my own breakfast as no restaurant so nowhere to put rubbish . Anyway the hotel served my need of location . It was ok ish value I suppose at *** for an overnite stay with no breakfast
