    Great location directly opposite the castle, which made it okay for a quick one-night stay, but if you are staying any longer I would definitely look elsewhere. Given its prime location and the age of the property, there is so much lost potential here—it could be fantastic if given a proper overhaul, but currently the room is in desperate need of basic maintenance. We noticed a severe crack running straight down the wooden door frame, a broken towel rack bracket loose on the wall, swollen water-damaged skirting board in bathroom, random screws left sticking out of the wall, sloppy paint patches, and marks on the walls near the light switch (unfortunately, the app wouldn't let me upload pictures of all the damage). On top of the poor physical condition, there were no tea bags in the room, and when we asked staff, we were simply told they were out of stock. Beyond that brief interaction, we didn't really see or interact with any staff apart from checking in and out. It worked strictly for a single night due to the location, but the overall neglect was really disappointing.
