Corner Club Penang

I had a wonderful stay at The Corner Club and would definitely return. First of all, it offers excellent value for money, especially since I managed to enjoy a fantastic promotional rate. For what I paid, the experience exceeded my expectations. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional staff. Every staff member I met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. When I arrived, I noticed two flags at the reception counter—the Malaysian and Chinese flags—so I casually asked whether the hotel was Chinese-owned. Instead of giving a brief answer, the receptionist enthusiastically explained that the owner was the late Low Boon Siew and shared a little of the history behind the property. You could genuinely feel how much pride he has in the company. The housekeeping staff were equally cheerful and always greeted us with a smile. When we checked out at noon, our transport was only arriving at 1:00 pm. The front desk staff invited us to relax in the comfortable lobby lounge and told us to stay as long as we liked. Such thoughtful hospitality is something I don't always experience, even at some 4-star hotels. The location is another big plus. It's parallel to Gurney Drive and within walking distance of Pulau Tikus Market, making it very convenient for food hunting and getting around. The room itself was spacious, with high ceilings that made it feel even more open. It was bright, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, The Corner Club delivered outstanding hospitality, a great location, and excellent value. The warm and genuine service from the staff made the stay especially memorable. Highly recommended!

I have staying in penang hotel for few times. For 3 star hotel this is the most cleaness, good location near Seaview, short walking distance to Gurney plaza & spacious room. Most of all value for money. I highly recommended.

I stayed here with my mom. I booked king room with balcony, and it was really worth the price. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. There was dispenser on each floor. The hotel was safe and private.

Rubbish for our 2 nights stay was not thrown. Bins were full. Soap scums on glass panels and tiles. 2 bedroom suite were spacious. Bedrooms facing street view. A little noisy at early hours of the morning. Fire alarm went off during our first night stay. Woke me up from my sleep. It was annoying because it took a while before it was turned off.
