Villa Martial Arts Gym & Hostel

It was a new pleasant experience, a likened to a kibbutz, I was dubious as first but I soon realised there was nothing underhand or untoward developing. The young slender barman handy me an ice cold Alex (well almost, a cool pint of drinking water, I was rather taken a back, such absolute kindness with the almost acquainted sitting New Yorker offering to pay for me because not only was he a big spender but also had lady luck in his corner. You have to love American, I do not care what the rest of the world says. Given that I must have been sweating like a Russian soldier about to finish his last cigarette before the most exciting drone just mundanely disembowels him from a computer game 🎮 set. What more can I add here, I had a very good night's sleep flanked by my new neighbours who were mouse quiet the whole time like we were practicing monks in a Temple. Saving all their energies for the boxing ring no doubt. I slept like a baby even though I was a bit daunted with sharing a large room with complete strangers. No complaints really just the usually universal mosquito challenge everyone has here.

We stayed in the double room which was huge and had a hot water private bathroom. Breakfast was included which was delicious (although coffee was not included). Upstairs was a gym facility, equipment was limited but enough to get in a good workout. Overall would highly recommend.

It seems that the owners focus their attention in the Martial Arts gym, which is totally fine. That said, when it comes to the hostel part is very basic. Esentially, a bed space. No AC, no courtains (unlike other hostels) so no privacy as the room is an open space. The problem are cockroaches coming out of the sink at the in-room toilet. Yesterday alone I killed 6 of them. You better keep the WC door closed! Grateful if managers can address this potential infestation issue. On a more positive note, the staff is genuinely kind and helpful. And the menu is really tasty, varied and affordable. I booked 2 nights at this place and am ok with it. (Should had been more days I'd reconsidered moving out to a different place).
