About this house rental
Stylish, updated home in a peaceful jewel box neighborhood. The Angora Holmes house is located in the stunning Angora hills and sits just above Fallen Leaf Lake. The home is surrounded by forest service land, with front door access to trails, biking, and just 20 minutes drive to Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly ski resorts. 7 minutes to town, yet feels worlds away with very little traffic, noise pollution or light pollution. You won't believe how bright the stars are up here on clear nights.
This is the perfect spot for active guests, wanting stylish yet comfortable accommodations. We put a lot of love and thought into making this place a special find because we use it 50% of the year and don't list it often.
Our 1750 sq. ft. house is great for smaller sized families and friends to enjoy comfortable living right across from the open meadows and forests. The whole upstairs floors of the house (bathrooms included) have been updated with designer touches, fresh paint, new floors and doors. Also new beds, bedding, pillows, etc. She is fresh as a daisy!
We are 10 minutes from Raley's, restaurants breweries, shopping and everything you could possibly need.
Fallen Leaf lake is a 20 minute walk
Lake Tahoe beaches are 15 min drive or bike ride via a back road, you don't have to go back through town during the summer season either!
Know the house rules before you book:
#1- Enjoy yourself, but be mindful of the house rules.
#2 -Respect our home.
#3 - No PETS the owner has asthma and bad allergies and you will be charged an additional $250 deep cleaning fee for pet rule violation.
#4 -No parties (strict noise ordinance in this county with $1500 fine if sheriff called)
#5 -No shoes on upper 2 floors. Please respect this, Tahoe rocks/ dirt/ sand get trapped in shoes and ruin floors, our bedroom floors are new and lets keep it clean and nice for everyone. Trust us, you don't want sand in your bed.
#6 -No Trash left outside. We have BEARS and mice! Please only store trash in the house or in the bear boxes outside. Trash day is Tuesday.
#7 -2 cars allowed in driveway. No parking in the street during winter months. Your car will either get damaged by snow plows or towed. WE are not responsible for your cars being damaged from street parking.
#8 NO SMOKING anywhere on the property, You must leave the property to smoke.
SECURITY CAMERA DISCLOSURE: We have security cameras outside the property for wildlife issues, to enforce county mandated occupancy and parking limits and to monitor rule / policy violations.
Do NOT tamper with the security camera. Doing so can result in immediate eviction. Any rule violations such as breaking the no smoking or pet policy will result additional cleaning fees and may lead to an eviction. All parties will need to sign a rental agreement before booking is considered final.
3 night minimum on holiday weekends.

What a beautiful location amid the trees and clean Tahoe air, and close to Lake Tahoe! We experienced nothing but excellent customer service from our host, Michele! Our check-in was flawless with perfect instructions. The home is gorgeous, and it was spotless upon our arrival. It looked like it had been recently renovated throughout and also with the very latest technology, like a heated seat toilet/bidet with remote! The home features a great design with two separate living rooms, making it perfect for two couples or families to share and enjoy a private space. We highly recommend this home, and we'll definitely be back!

This home was so cozy and beautiful. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a scenic drive and the most amazing views. The host was attentive and friendly. The home is not far at all from casinos, restaurants and Heavenly Mountain. The home had everything we needed for us to be comfortable and even had games for us to enjoy. I can not wait to book my next trip here. I highly recommend staying here. The host and home was lovely.

I have been coming up to Tahoe for the past 20 years and I can say this is one of the best homes I've stayed at. This isn't one of your cheesy mountain decor spots with enough rooms. You get a beautifully decorated lux feel while in the middle of nature. Oh, and you are surprisingly close to all the happenings in South Lake for both family and friends looking to have fun. Lastly, the host is extremely responsive and accommodating. She had a nice crib set up for our 11 month old daughter before we got there. We'll definitely be rebooking on our next trip!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share our wonderful experience during our recent stay. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and the property owner/manager was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in. The place was impeccably clean, and the layout of the house was incredibly well-thought-out. It was evident that the home had been recently remodeled, and it was exceptionally well-stocked with everything we needed—something that feels rare these days. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay!
