A truly exceptional stay — and one of those places where the host makes the experience just as memorable as the apartment itself. We stayed in apartment 22K at Karat Apartments for a week in September and genuinely could not have asked for a better experience. The apartment itself is beautiful, modern, extremely comfortable and has absolutely everything you could need. It is clear that a huge amount of thought has gone into the design and the little details that make you feel at home. What really made our stay special, however, was Kenan and the level of care he showed us throughout the week. From the moment we arrived, Kenan was incredibly welcoming, generous and attentive, and was always available whenever we needed anything. We were also celebrating our anniversary during our stay, and Kenan went completely above and beyond by surprising us with a beautiful room decoration, flowers and a cake. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and genuinely made our anniversary even more special and memorable. It is these personal touches that you simply cannot put a price on. The apartment was kept exceptionally clean throughout our stay, with fresh towels and a general clean every few days. Everything was consistently immaculate, and it was obvious that maintaining a high standard for guests is something Kenan takes seriously. Kenan was also incredibly helpful with recommendations for local food and places to visit, and provided us with information about local tours and activities. His recommendations really helped us experience Sarajevo beyond simply seeing the usual tourist spots. He even helped make sure our transportation was arranged when it was time to leave, just as he had helped make our arrival easy. Having someone take care of those details made everything completely seamless and stress-free from beginning to end. The location is fantastic too, making it very easy to explore Sarajevo, but what we will remember most is the hospitality.

The apartment and location are fantastic but the key stand out is the host and the service. He went above and beyond to look after us even after our stay ended and we returned to sarajevo, he looked after our luggage and he and his family helped us immensely with an emergency. I cannot recommend this place and these people enough and I wish they had accepted my tip
