The location was perfect. Just close enough to the French Quarters that we could walk to various venues. Also great location for catching the Trolly that spared us long distance walking and saved us time. (Most of the good restaurants were at the other end of the French Quarters). The room was very spacious, more room than we actually needed, but we certainly took advantage of it - nice living room, bedroom, large bathroom and cute kitchen.
These comments are based on previous B&B's that we've stayed at.
I was expecting a breakfast - not yogurt or granola bars in the frig. At least fresh pastries or fruit ??
The lack of personal connection with the owner or manager. It was all through texts.
The entrance to our apartment was through a dirty laundry room and up a very narrow, dark stairway. It was nothing like the actual entrance to the mansion, which we never would have even seen if it were not for the fact that we needed to leave our luggage for 2 hours after we checked out of our room. I was blown away by how beautiful it was - THAT was what I was expecting. Our entrance was anything but beautiful. My recommendation would be to make sure your room is IN the main mansion, entering the front door. I would definitely request this for our next visit. Had I stayed in one of the beautiful rooms I saw, my rating would have been higher.

This was a beautiful home! It had everything we were envisioning for our staying in New Orleans. It was like the past and present t was all happening at one time.
The stairs were rickety and I noticed some areas that the screws had become sort of loose. I tightened them and it helped a lot!
