The Lanaux Mansion

The Lanaux Mansion is as advertised. It is within walking distance of many of the sights that you want to see in New Orleans. On the afternoon wee arrived, the electricity was not working. This was no fault of the property, and the manager took us on a virtual tour of the ground level of the mansion while we waited for the city to fix the issue. So interesting. The manager also checked in with us and made sure everything was up to our expectations. We stayed in Ruthie's Balcony room, and had a view of the street, which was fun. The bed was comfortable, and we loved the convenience of the kitchenette. It truly felt like an oasis after a full two days of sightseeing. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We knew this going in, but be aware that there is a flight of stairs to some of the rooms. Also, the street noise close to the weekend can get a little rowdy. Bring some earplugs if that is a factor for you.

Building with real character, large room, huge comfortable bed, very effective air conditioning, excellent location just 2 min walk from Frenchmen Street and 5 minutes to the French Market. Excellent communication from the manager Andrea.

Nothing

Awesome location, loved cool A/C.

Wasn’t able to park on site after all, had to park on the street. Luckily it was ok/safe.

Location was beyond excellent, customer service was personal and accommodating, room was better than advertised. I’ve stayed all over the US this property definitely exceeded expectations.

Nothing for me personally although i could imagine parking being a slight challenge if u don’t pay to stay on property but a minor thing compared to the benefits of staying here. I would stay here regardless.
