Characterful cosy home in a convenient location

We stayed in this two-bedroom house for a short break and overall had a pleasant stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful before our arrival, providing clear information and very kindly allowing us to check in a little early as we were already in the area, which was much appreciated. On arrival, the property looked lovely. The bedding was very clean, the heating was already on so the house felt warm and cosy, and there was a hot, powerful shower. The house is nicely decorated with some really interesting artwork and thoughtful touches throughout. I’m sure the garden would be absolutely lovely in the summer, although the weather wasn’t on our side during our stay. The house is very well stocked — perhaps a little too well stocked — to the point where it wasn’t always clear what was intended for guests versus personal items. Parking was a bit tricky and felt like a tight squeeze, especially if you have a larger car. We parked just around the corner instead and had no issues. But I had read previous reviews so I was aware. Location-wise, it’s great: around a 10-minute walk into Chipping Norton and about a 25-minute drive to The Farmer’s Dog, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay. We walked to Diddly SFarm but it is on a main road (if you have young children) The kitchen is on the smaller side and felt a little tight for two adults, so it’s probably better suited to shorter stays rather than longer ones. Overall, a comfortable and well-located place with welcoming hosts — ideal for a short break.

Not necessarily what we didnt like as the place was very clean,barr some cobwebs in corners, just a few things maybe could do with some maintenance.. a bit tired in some areas. Definitely could do with a few hooks by the door to hang coats but obviously thats not the end of the world. And wouldn't stop us from staying again.

Great value for money and great facilities!

Perfect location for a weekend away and to visit Diddly Squat Farm and Chipping Norton. Comfy beds, own bathroom for each bedroom, everything you could need including great coffee machine and record player. Hosts were amazing and checked in during stay to check all ok.

Location is quite hilly but no issue for us - steps up to high street gave easier access to pubs etc.

Lovely property that suited our requirements very well indeed

Incredibly comfy beds with quality bedding. Lovely thick towels. Excellent showers. Gorgeous views from top bedroom.

Perfect base to explore the Cotswolds, home from home.

The property was close to the centre of Chipping Norton with all of the amenities like pubs, restaurants and shops. It was exceptionally clean and had everything you needed to make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Generous amounts of store cupboard essentials …… if you needed to cook.

Nothing…… the driveway is tricky but the owners make you aware of that before you arrive and it is safely navigated with care.

Bellissimo casetta nelle cotswolds

Bellissima casa, perfetta come punto di partenza per visitare le Cotswolds. La cittadina è grande quanto basta per trovare tutto quello che serve e non caotica. La casa era incantevole come arredo, servizi, pulizia e cura dell'ambiante. Kelly è stato molto gentile nel comunicare e spiegarci come ritirare la chiave e come usufruire al meglio dei servizi. Bellissimo giardinetto privato.

Per avere la perfezione cambierei solo il materasso. Putroppo il nostro letto era scomodo i movimenti del compagno di letto si trasmettevano molto chiaramente disturbando il sonno. Insonorizzazione non bellissima, ma essendo una struttura storica va bene cosi.
