Vienna Residence, Prater - Exhibition Center

The AC was not working about which I was not informed. After, they promised to bring additional fun but did not bring. During hot weather it will be impossible to stay at. Also the building does not have luggage storage, so if you have late flight you need to take with you all your luggage.

Check-In: Wir erhielten keinen Haustürcode und keine Code für das Appartement im Vorfeld per Email, zum Glück war am Samstag das TElefon besetzt und wir konnten nach längeren Telefonaten unsere Zugangcodes bekommen. Mir wurde mehrmals gesagt, ich soll im Spam-Ordner nach den fehlenden Codes suchen, aber ich hatte ja schon Emails (mit nicht hilfreichen Fotos vom Eingangsbereich) vom Vermieter erhalten, die nicht im Spam-Ordner stecken blieben, warum soll ausgerechnet die eine Email mit den Codes dann im Spam-Ordner versanden? Die Codes, die mir zugeschickt wurden, lauteten allesamt "MISSING", d.h. es gab Probleme mit dem Buchungssystem, aber die Schuld wurde mir und meinem Spam-Ordner zugeschoben. Endlich dann, nach 3 Telefonaten, erhielten wir mündlich die beiden Zugangscodes.

Our apt had AC, which was great because they were a couple of hot summer days (as a matter of fact I had to cancel a much nicer apt, which was half the price because that one didn't have AC). There were 4 of us (with two almost adult kids), and the size of it was enough. We came for the Prater park, which was walking distance, so that was was very nice. It was a clean apartment, quiet, as we were on an upper floor. with enough towels and toilet paper, but we only stayed for 2 nights.

The bigger bedroom didn't have blids, only a very thin, see-through one, so too early in the monrning the sleep was disrupted because of the light coming through. A full size mirror would help as wel. It needs some minor repairs also, for example the handle on the fridge door was broken on one side, we had to be very careful when opening it so it would not fall down completely. Overall it was good for us, but a bit pricey.

Convenient, roomy

No ventilation, poorly supplied (only one knife), we booked for two weeks and were given no garbage bags, inadequate supplies. Fans took several days to be delivered in extreme heat.
