Studio 11 Malo les bains proche plage

It was available at short notice when the place I booked four months ago turned out to be inaccessible, so i was grateful to be able to get a place so quickly and easily! Also, it was in a much nicer side of Dunkirk, with a boulangerie just round the corner, and restaurants and the beach within a few minutes walk. The place was compact, had more facilities than I expected (good fridge-freezer, microwave, decent sized sink with washing up liquid provided, etc), very clean, and the bathroom/shower very nice. The bed was comfortable and I slept well both nights. The manager responded promptly to my one query (about WiFi).

It was a bit dark inside - it’s right on the street, so I didn’t try too hard to open the shutters for more light, and I wasn’t really there much in the daytime so it didn’t matter. The manager was responsive when I asked a different question so I expect would have been helpful about this too if I’d asked. I wasn’t especially happy about the bunkbed style, without a bedside light or light switch - but that was my problem because I didn’t check the pictures before booking! I’m in my late 60s, and try and avoid ladders these days! But this ladder was firm and in the event, I managed fine, and slept well both nights.
