Pure Sweden! Stay right above Sweden’s most biodiverse river, with a three-sided view of the fantastic river landscape. On our self-sufficient permaculture farm—a historic 17th-century estate—we’ve created a wonderful vacation home that was thoroughly renovated with sustainability in mind and was actually intended for our own family. Sustainability was a top priority: water comes from our own well, graywater is biologically treated, and the toilet is a modern Swedish composting toilet. The house features state-of-the-art amenities and Wi-Fi (available upon request); it’s suitable for year-round use, with a wood-burning stove in the kitchen and infrared heaters in the bathroom and living area. It has a living area of approximately 100 square meters and includes two bedrooms in the attic, a living area, a bathroom, and a kitchen-dining area offering a panoramic view of the river landscape. Outside, there are two terraces where you can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset. From the house, you can see a small swimming cove on the river, from which you can set out in a Canadian canoe, kayak, or canoe (rental available on-site) or go fishing thanks to our private fishing rights. Our farm is located not far from the tourist highlights of Småland; Vimmerby, Lönneberga, and Bullerby are just a 30-minute drive away, and Oskarshamn on the Baltic Sea—where you can enjoy wonderful boat trips—is only 45 minutes away. During harvest season, fresh organic vegetables and fruit are available for purchase daily at our farm. There is a HotPot (a Swedish outdoor bathtub with a wood-burning stove) for 4 adults, which can be booked on-site upon request for a usage fee. On cool evenings, you can enjoy sitting by the kitchen wood-burning stove or around a campfire by the river. Early in the morning, a swim in the river is an unforgettable experience! Mandatory final cleaning fee on-site is 90 euros / Bed linens and towels can be booked on-site (12.50 euros per person) / Electricity usage is billed on-site (0.45 euros per kWh). Check-in/Check-out: During peak season (June–August), check-in is only possible on Saturdays!!!!
