I loved everything about this home ! The kids stayed down stairs and plenty of room to play with ping pong and ice hockey. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. I am from flatter land but the stairs were a great accommodation to get into the lake and relax on the dock. The kids played in the water all day, life jackets available, also kayaks! We loved this location . Anyone looking for a quiet getaway for the family this is your location! Thanks for the memories!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home is beautiful and peaceful! We especially enjoyed spending time on the large deck/balcony area!

The dock was pulled on to bank and although we called, no one ever came out to remedy that. Also, one of my teenager's feet busted through a board on the upper deck as he stood talking to my other 2 in the hot tub. There were a few more soft boards there too.

Overall, this is a charming lakefront home that leans into the fishing cabin vibe with décor and kayaks. The cigar lounge was a great spot that guests would enjoy. I would have liked to give this home a higher rating, but it lacked the attention to detail needed to make it a highly rated vacation rental.
Here are a few reasons why I couldn't give this vacation rental a higher rating:
- Cleanliness of ground level - Smell of cooked fish, crumbs under the dining table, apparent spilled drink on side table and floor. I purchased cleaning supplies and took care of these issues. Overall the home was clean, but not what I would expect at a vacation rental. The property management company texted me on the first day to ask about the cleanliness and I made them aware of these issues.
-No kitchen essentials like salt and pepper, coffee and tea, sweeteners, etc. There were plenty of dishes, cups and utensils.
- Beds were firm (which I understand is a preference), but difficult for me to sleep on. The linens weren't soft.
- The lake was dry with docks sitting on land. There's an advisory for no boating, fishing and swimming. This would be a disappointment for guests who booked this home to enjoy the lake. This was not disclosed at the time of booking.
I booked this vacation rental for 9 days and left after 6 mostly due to my lack of sleep.
I own a vacation rental and believe attention to detail and guest experience are key. A little TLC would elevate this home.
