A comfortable apartment in the heart of the city

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and we had a wonderful stay in this spacious apartment with a view over Piazza San Lorenzo we could see the top of the cathedral, skyline view of the city and mountains from the balcony and from the bedroom the port. The bed was comfortable we had a choice of bath or shower everything was clean. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely!

Right in the centre of the old town. easy waking distance to the harbor and centre. Very clean and well kept. Beautiful views of the city from the balcony and windows. Instructions from host were very clear and helpful.

Only the lounge has air conditioning, which was a pity as we were there during the heatwave. Fans were provided in each room, and we were very grateful for those, but air con in the bedrooms would have been better.

Many great features, but the basics are lacking. Sadly I can't recommend this place.

Great location. Beautiful building. Property description was accurate, especially made clear that there is a lift AND a flight of stairs. Decent communication with owner. Lots of information in the flat about the city. Quiet. Lovely views! Washing machine and drying line was very handy.

The beds were horrible and no extra pillows. Its frustrating to have a bad night's sleep on vacation, right? We are 4 people and had to make major adjustments to sleep. The double bed was only usable for one person, so one person slept on the couch (we found spare sheets hidden in a cupboard). The bunk bed mattresses were so thin that we felt the slats in the bed digging into our backs. It was horribly uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. Luckily, we found 2 rollaway beds. Even though they had even thinner mattresses, and were smaller, we added them to the bunk beds. Thus we were able to sleep. I don't feel its appropriate that we need to move linens, mattresses and beds to sleep. Its a basic requirement that should be met at all accommodations - good beds, pillows, blankets. Sadly, Loft Fronte Catedrale failed miserably on this point. Secondly, the flat is on the top floor. Great for views, but it also gets quite hot. I tried to open the windows, but all but one had no screens and mosquitoes flew in. We weren't allowed to use the AC since it was under 25 degrees C outside, but we needed to cool down. So, please, install screens! Spending a sleepless night with mosquitoes buzzing in my ear is not pleasant. We found a fan up in the loft, so that helped. Please clean the mold out of the shower. Disgusting. Second set of keys should be located at the entrance and not hidden in a cupboard at the top of a ladder. The keys are needed for electricity in the flat, the building entrance and door to the flat. So if you split up, (or if someone stays in the flat while someone goes out), you must have 2 sets of keys. I asked about the keys, but didn't get an answer for a few hours. It was awkward for my 82 year old mother who wanted to stay in the flat while we explored the city, but we needed the keys. So she either stayed without electricity or had to come with us.

Well equipped apartment in a a very convenient location and with great views.

Great location, most of the attractions in the city centre within 10 minutes walk, and less than 5 minutes walk from Giorgio metro station. Brilliant views of the San Lorenzo cathedral and over the old city, to the North, West and South. Lots of shops, cafes, restauarants etc very close by, including a small Carrefour supermarket.

If anyone went out, eg to buy stuff for breakfast, it meant turning off the electricity to the apartment - though this was not a great problem in practice.

This is a very spacious apartment perfectly positioned in the heart of the old town with good views of the cathedral from the balcony. The apartment was well equipped with the exception of a few items. On the whole it ticked most boxes. And despite its minor faults we enjoyed our stay

The electricity is designed to turn off whenever you leave the apartment and can only be turned back on when you return by using the house keys. The lock to turn the power back on is positioned under a ladder in a corner. We found it awkward to locate the small key in the lock to turn the power back on when returning in complete darkness Bedside cabinets or tables would have been useful . There was no TV in the apartment. The bed was made up with sheets only we found an ill fitting cover in another room eventually. The bed had only 2 pillows with no spares. The medium size bath towels, although clean were stiff & hard.

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town

The location was excellent - right in the heart of the old town, with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. As the flat was on the sixth floor, the noise was negligible. Windows on all sides ensured that it was not too hot. Two bathrooms for four people made the mornings very easy.

Only one thin pillow per person. One wine glass in the entire flat.

Very quirky penthouse apartment with some great uses of space. Incredible location with amazing panoramic rooftop views, and almost within touching distance of the cathedral. Apartment is in a beautiful building, central location excellent for walking tours of the city and morning breakfast stops. Also, ability to check in after midnight, great!!

We had some issues understanding how to get the electricity to work in the apartment as the owner was out of town. It may have been the fact it was very late and our concentration levels were low as the solution finally was very simple, and in fact one we had tried before.

Simple and very good!

Ms. Paula is great lady. Answer to any little problem. The location can't be better. You can go any where in few moments. Many restaurants and coffee shops around. Near is bus station and metro.

La ubicación de la estancia es lo mejor que tiene.

- Limpieza superficial, no se puede decir que la estancia estuviera completamente limpia. Por ejemplo, las fundas de los dos sofás huelen, el mantel azul de la mesa redonda del salón está sucio, hay mucho polvo en los muebles, hay hormigas en el salón porque el suelo no está bien limpio. - El estado del mobiliario es defectuoso. Por ejemplo, las mosquiteras están rotas, una ventana del salón está rota. - Únicamente había 2 rollos de papel higiénico para 2 cuartos de baño y para una estancia de 8 días. - Había un paquete de café caducado desde 2023.

tutto sommato piacevole

posizione ottima, pulizia da migliorare, non abbiamo avuto accesso all'aria condizionata che,per scelta del gestore , si può usare solo in luglio e agosto.

basterebbe veramente poco, la posizione non ha paragoni, centrale, da un lato si vede la cattedrale, dall'altro il porto. Un pò più di precisione nelle dotazioni , avevamo solo un rotolo di carta igienica in ogni bagno e neppure nuovo. In una camera c'era per terra uno stecco di gelato, segno che non era stata fatta la pulizia, il copritavolo non era pulito. Comunque suggerisco solo più accuratezza perchè il loft è veramente in una posizione strategica

Idéal pour un séjour à Gênes.

la relation avec la propriétaire: très bons conseils et explications pour récupérer les clefs et pour trouver un parking. Très disponible et réactive à nos demandes. La situation du logement est sans concurrence. Une vue sur la cathédrale et une partie du port: incroyable. Logement décoré avec goût et deux salles de bain: le rêve.

Le 6 couchages reste à désirer 4 ok 6 à revoir la clim ne fonctionnait pas avec 40 degrés sous les comble…. Les salles de bain mérite révisions également
