Waihi beach Toroha cosy cabin

Quiet, spotless clean, very well equipped

Quiet setting but extremely close to the town and beach. Cabin was modern, tasteful and well equipped. The bed was super comfortable with cosy bedlinen.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Location, quiet, easy to access. Room was clean, tidy, well decorated, had everything we needed. Loved it.

The wifi kept dropping out which made it difficult to complete work tasks that I needed to complete. Solved this by hotspotting to my phone though.

We don't normally complain, but we feel we have to say a few things. We arrived at 3 pm, the place was closed up and really hot. North facing, would be nice in winter but not in shoulder seasons, we had to close blinds and put aircon on ... which defeated the reason for booking (i.e. the view). The pictures listed show a vacant block next door on the sea side but there's a house there now, so the view isn't as shown. Had to park on the footpath, despite an obvious parking spot in the spare driveway blocked by 2 plant pots. Kitchen was tiny, hard to cook anything, two huge salt & pepper shakers with nothing in them. We didn't feel particularly welcomed by the host, although she offered us some feijoas the last day. The place is for sale.
