Charming apartment 200m from Bryggen

The location of this apartment could not have been better for our family of four. We were close to everything. Just two blocks from Bryggen with a trampoline park right along the walk. Inside, the kitchen was great and the living area was comfortable for unwinding after a day out. The bedrooms were perfectly fine for what we needed.

There is a bit of a shower leakage issue in the bathroom, but we got the hang of managing it better each day, and the host left plenty of extra towels to help with that.

It was a comfortable stay for a couple of nights. The design of the house is cute and compact. There is one room with a bed and the other one room has a mattress on the floor. The room with a bed doesn't have enough space to open 2 luggages.

The toilet door doesn't have a lock and there's no place to hang the toilet paper. The house is on a steep hill and far from the buses, so I'd recommend taking a taxi to the airport if you have heavy luggage with you.

Excellent location for exploring Bergen. Check-in was easy with the lockbox. The property is on a hill, like much of Bergen, which may be worth keeping in mind for anyone with mobility issues or heavy luggage.

Unfortunately, the apartment felt poorly maintained, poorly stocked, and simply not loved. It did not feel particularly clean, and electrical outlets were coming out of the walls. The room intended for two people was so small that we ended up giving it to one person. The other room could accommodate two, but the sleeping arrangement was just a mattress on the floor. The showers were the biggest problem. It was impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom, and there were no extra towels to clean up the water. For three people, dealing with this every day became a constant struggle. The overall level of comfort was very low—not what we were looking forward to on vacation.
