Cottage By The Bay by AvantStay

The cottage is darling. Cute little back yard, short walk to the beach. Every amenity was provided for. Definitely stay again.

The place was cute and fairly clean. It was in a good location in my opinion. I liked that it cooled off fairly quickly when the windows were opened in the evening. The wildlife around the area was incredible and the beach was really close which was nice. The place was cozy and had a nice ambiance.

The house smelled bad. I believe it came from the water heater and it was very unpleasant and made the stay not so great. Also when I went to do laundry the detergent tray was moldy and brown and underneath was all black mold. I contacted Avant Stay who said they would let me know when the cleaners could come and clean it but that did not happen during my stay. In fact I did not hear from Avant Stay at all after that regarding the cleaners. So, I couldn't do laundry as I wasn't going to wash my clothes in a moldy machine. The floors needed to be mopped as after walking around barefoot our feet were really dirty. Overall, the cleaning company needs to do a little better in my opinion and someone should really fix the water heater or whatever is causing the smell because it was really unpleasant the whole time to have to deal with that.
