RESI STAY PALACE Gate

Loved the accommodation. Very "old style" Japanese accommodation made to look like a house. That saying, the stairs inside to go upstairs are steep. The area was quiet with 2 convenience stores, a fruit and vegetable shop and a butchers close by. Very easy area to walk around in and also the bus stop was close.

It was a little difficult to get the keys as google maps kept getting confused and stopping. Also, at the exit from the train station to collect the keys, there is no lift (with the directions we had). It was a lot of stairs to carry your bags up.

The Resi team reacted promptly and professionally on our request as the hair dryer was not working and replaced the same day… really great customer service. The place is great central but still quiet. The wooden bathtub was a highlight.

We loved our stay at Palace Gate. The location was unbeatable, close to everything but in a quiet and cosy neighbourhood. Amenities were great including a beautiful bathtub and lots of linen for our booking for 4 people. Would definitely recommend this place to groups or families! Super handy having the shuttle from the station as well. Thanks for having us 😊

The only thing missing would be a couch in the kitchen area. While it’s a small space I think with different furniture you could still have a table and a couch but that is our only feedback, and really it was no big deal.

The hotel has a great location, with very convenient access to tourist attractions and shopping.

However, the hotel is converted from an old residential building, and the sanitary conditions are terribly poor. On the very first day of our stay, my son was bitten several times by unknown bugs in the bed, and soon after, I broke out in large rashes all over my body. I also spotted small flying insects in the room that typically live in drains. I urge the management team to take hygiene issues seriously. The problem isn't just what meets the eye—the real issues are the hidden ones: in the drains, behind the walls, inside the mattresses, and in other unseen places. Those are the big problems.
