Maravel house

Located in a typical Greek village, where everyone greets everyone and where time seems to stand still, this little house won us over at first sight. Communication with the owner Ioannis for check-in was easy, in the village there is a mini market and a small tavern where we ate on the first evening. The distance to Heraklion where the supermarkets, port and airport are located is a maximum of 15 km. Just over 2km away is the village of Episcopi with a few nice taverns, petrol station, pharmacy and supermarkets. The interior is new, equipped with everything you need, induction hob, oven, hood, microwave, washing machine, enough crockery and cutlery. The bedding was clean, as were the towels, the bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom supplies, the air conditioners worked well, the wifi signal was intermittent but I think it was due to the location of the village. The host welcomed us with wine and raki made by him, fresh fruit and even a few eggs from his own chickens. The nearest beaches are approximately 10km away. Recommended for those who want peace in the typical Greek style.

The water pressure in the shower is very weak, but I think it's common in Crete because in the south of the island where we stayed there was the same problem. And the staircase connecting the bedroom and the living room can be inconvenient, especially at night when we had to use the downstairs toilet.
