The 'lighthouse' worked well for our family of 10. Kids adopted the cool ladder bedroom and small office space as their playrooms! Adults enjoyed the roominess and deck. House was close enough to Acadia National Park as well as Southwest island trails, tidal pools etc.

This is a very unique and quirky house. So many interesting things to look at. The kids loved the ladder room. There were plenty of tvs and the WiFi was good. There was an issue with the gas stove to heat the living room/office area, and no solution was offered, but it ended up warming up the next few days. There is only 1 room with a door so all other sleeping areas are open and you can hear everything. There are also no curtains so the sun wakes you up. There was a ton of road noise as well. We thought the view was beautiful with the trees and glimpses of the bay. Especially from the upper rooms. The upstairs shower needs some work as the temperature was complicated and it dripped. Our kids enjoyed this house and it’s a good spot for a family.
