You get to enjoy the energy of the Downtown area while taking advantage of the privacy of this second-floor property. Surrounded by outstanding coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, retail, performance halls, museums, nightclubs, and wedding venues and 2 blocks from the nationally recognized Wilmington River Walk. This is the perfect place to park your car and enjoy the ability to stroll to everything…Enjoy a long weekend or even a longer stay in The Art Loft on Princess. The building was originally completed in 1785 and served as the County Jail. The 24-inch thick walls, exposed beams, and high ceilings remain, though the remainder of the property is beautifully renovated with modern details and amenities to ensure your comfort. Unwind in Downtown Wilmington in this historic jewel. You'll find everything you need for a delightful stay. The property has a fully equipped kitchen, with granite countertops, modern appliances, a dining room, office space, a living room with a 65-inch TV, and a unique art installation on the ceiling. King-size master bedroom with fine linens and walk-in closet. Queen-sized second bedroom…both bedrooms with blackout draperies and 55-inch TVs. The full bath features a large walk-in shower, bidet toilet…plush towels, and robes. We almost forgot to mention the fully stocked coffee bar, with a Nespresso, Krups, Cuisinart Coffee Maker, French Press, Pour Over, and Electric Tea Kettle for those who like to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee/tea in the morning.
Also included is a full laundry room washer/dryer, cable TV and internet streaming channels, and of course, wireless internet. Please note that there is a Ring doorbell/camera at the entry door off Princess Street and at the entry door of the unit. Please keep in mind that this beautiful property is located on the second floor of the building and there are no elevators. We can promise the climb is worth the effort! This VBRO is as gorgeous as it looks in the photos! It's location provides immediate access to coffee shops, reasturants, shops, and the boardwalk. The hosts were very attentive to our needs. Our only disappointment was the loud music from two nearby bars that lasted until 1-2 am. If you are a sensitive sleeper, you may want to choose a quieter location. If you're good at sleeping and/or like to stay out late, you should be fine.

We loved it at The Art Loft and CANNOT wait to come back! The beds were the most comfortable, I do not believe my family has slept in that late EVER! Beautiful place!!

The unit is very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of towels and dishes etc. Beds are comfortable. Enjoyed the record player and vintage LPs. The primary bedroom is directly over a bar and across the street from a bar so there is a lot of noise on Friday and Saturday nights. There are sound machines and ear plugs to mitigate.The unit is very walkable to the river front, restaurants and shops.
