Lovely spacious property. Our hosts were generous with the welcome pack and also heating. Also we really enjoyed the log fire and breakfasting by the bay windows which looked out over the countryside. It also benefited from clear dark skies for northern lights which made a showing (on camera) on several nights. Would strongly recommend as an ideal get away. There is a small shop nearby (200 yds) for small purchases or cafe. Thurso is 4 miles away for local shops and ferry to Orkney at Scabster next door. Also ideal cycling country.

Barbara and Ken were excellent hosts and very kind to offer a lovely welcome box of treats and the occasional lift from the cottage to Thurso. Only downside was being on my own due to my partner's work commitments. We both hope to return.

The cottage is perfectly suited for a break in this area, wonderfully clean, amazing hosts and situated within easy reach of Thurso and its facilities with your own transport. Well appointed, nothing too much trouble if anything was needed and we particularly enjoyed the conservatory for eating and enjoying the country views. Highly recommend it.
