A wonderful stay at Bower Pods!

Jenny was a fantastically friendly and welcoming host and our pod was spotlessly clean and warm as were the toilet and shower facilities nearby. The shared kitchen area was well equipped and gave space to sit down and read or chat with other guests. A perfect stay and excellent value for money!

Wonderful rural stay in the Scottish Highlands

Kids loved the pod, many thanks to Jenny for involving them in some farm activities, they are still talking about thier stay now!

The first time we’d been glamping so we weren't sure how having the toilet and kitchen outside of the pod would go, but in the end it worked very well, they are very close to the pod.

Perfect pod, facilities and location

The children loved seeing the calves. Jenny left the wood and kindle etc ready for us to have our fire pit and toast marshmallows. Jenny and her husband were lovely and chatted to us about the animals and the farm. The kitchen area was great and very helpful. The toilet and shower was immaculate. The pod smelled amazing. Much bigger inside than we expected. Absolutely perfect location for our visit to John O' Groats and The Duncansby Stacks. Thanks for having us. Would definitely like to return for longer next time.

Lovely pod on the Norwegian ‘hytte’ model. Well presented and spotlessly clean. Location ideal for meetings in Wick, Thurso and Gills Bay area.

I know it’s the market forces of demand and supply but the price was more expensive than supposedly pricey Norway for the same facilities, although in fairness much cheaper than on the west coast segment of the so-called NC500.

Lovely host, mediocre accommodation

Host was very helpful when we had to check in really late and gave us sleeping bags. Parking was good.

The description doesn't really make it clear that the one toilet and shower are shared and not in the pod. There wasn't even a sink in the pod. The pictures show bedding and sleeping bags so we didn't bring our own although in the description did state somewhere at the end to bring them but we didn't. We didn't sleep well, and we didn't find the plastic covered mattresses comfortable at all.

Well equipped pod. Almost a cabin.

We had the deluxe and it was very well equipped. Clean and comfortable. I slept the best I had for 10 days but my husband didn’t.

We brought sleeping bags but pillows would have been helpful. Also being a working farm, lots of flies.

Perfect in every way

We arrived by motorbike 🏍. Rather wet! Jenny couldn't have been more helpful to us. Offering somewhere to dry our stuff. We both had the best night's sleep of our holiday. The views were amazing too. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and lots of local recommendations of places to visit, fantastic private fire pit and facilities to use it

struggled a bit with the futon mattresses coming apart and falling down the gap, maybe needs a bottom sheet or something to pull them together when in the double bed set-up

Excellent Property to spend time during the highlands trip

Close proximity to John o' Groats and Wick, which helped in ensuring our first day in the highlands was pleasant. The host was very friendly and showed us around their farm. Excellent view of the cows and sheep in the farm that made our visit even more enjoyable.

Does what it says on the tin

Perfect place to stay on our NC500 trip. The pods were a perfect location for a night stop over on our NC500 trip. The pod itself was lovely, very clean on arrival and was in a beautiful setting. The host, Jenny, met us on arrival and was most welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We even got a cheeky upgrade, thank you Jenny 😊 We’d stay there again if we’re up this way.

Jenny was friendly and helpful about the area, she keeps the kitchen area, bathroom and toilet very clean. She has thought of little touches like fairy lights around the pod. She offers extra things like firewood, fresh eggs and more for a small extra charge. Easy to find her property too.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Great location by the NC500 route. Cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped pod. Possibity of using a fire pit right by the lodge and purchasing fresh farm eggs and mear for burgers.

No wifi available in the pod ( apparently it is accessible in the shared kitchen by the main house but we didn't spend time there as we had our own kitchenette in the lodge)

Jenny is the greatest host we've ever encountered. The check in was so easy, she'd drawn a little map for us so we knew where to go, and when she we had questions, she answered them and gave us excellent recommendations. Jenny and John run a great place, we loved the proximity to the farm, the facilities were wonderful, and they were so welcoming and friendly.
