About this bed and breakfast
Welcome to our peaceful, art-filled casita. The casita is on a semi-rural road, 3 miles from the Mesilla Plaza. The two-acre, gated property is bordered by pecan orchards. The property includes a main home, the casita, outdoor grill, outdoor seating, native plants, and artist studio space. The casita is suitable for one or two adults; no one under 21 accepted. Up to 2 dogs is ok. LGBT+ Friendly.
The feedback we get is that visitors to the casita feel safe, and they love the privacy and quiet of the casita and property. Those with dogs love the spacious (fenced) backyard, which is shade covered by large pecan trees.
On the property, you will walk through a private gate to the entrance of the casita, which sits adjacent to the main house on two acres. You can enjoy peace and quiet on the patio, surrounded by native desert plants such as cacti, mesquite and Palo Verde trees, yucca, palms, and agaves. Many of these are in colorful bloom March – October. In the evening, you can sit outside.
Artfully arranged, this private and peaceful space seems much larger than its 300+ square feet. Rejuvenate after your adventures in the full-size bed.
The casita does not have a kitchen. Rather, there is a bar with a microwave, two burner stove, portable oven, mini refrigerator, utensils, and a sink. A Keurig is there for you to enjoy, along with complimentary coffee (Decaf and regular) and tea. An outdoor gas grill is also available for use. The property is readily serviced by Door Dash, Grub Hub, and Uber Eats.
Unwind with your favorite shows on the Roko TV. There is free WiFi and access to a washer and dryer. The washer and dryer are in the garage; detergent is provided.
When it's warm, there are two air conditioners, plus two ceiling fans. If you get cold, there is a baseboard heater, as well as a portable unit. There is a heated mattress on the bed. There is a full bathroom with sink, toilet, shower/tub combo. All common bathroom amenities are provided.
The casita is in a semi-rural location a half-mile from the Rio Grande. House-trained dogs are welcome. The back part of the property is gated.
On the property is XYZ Studios, a space we rent to artists. Guests in the casita can visit the gallery when it is open. We will let you know if there are any art openings or workshops in the studio during your stay.
Private parking is available during your stay. You park very near the casita entrance.
