- Mandatory local tax fee is 6.00 U.S. dollars . Only Credit Cards accepted. When entering Newport, a toll bridge only accepts payment through EZ Pass and not cash.
- Seawall and exterior renovations to the South and East Wind Buildings will take place from September 2025 to April 2026; guests may experience noise, dust, odors, and work crews—dates are subject to change.
- Due to construction, the pool locker room/restrooms, fitness center, and sauna will be unavailable from September through December 2025; dates are subject to change.

Pool wasn’t great…fitness center was closed…major renovation of the building/ units directly next to us…so construction noise during the day. Front desk clerk tried to charge us 75 per day more than agreed…very arrogant.

We have stayed at the Onshore several times. We frequent Newport several times a year and this facility is conveniently located, rooms are always clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. We are already looking to book for next fall.
