Elpida's Stone Houses

Just returned from our first stay at Elpida's Stone Houses and will definitely not be our last. The apartments are spacious and have everything you need for a self catering stay, it's a peaceful village & the view from the property is absolutely breathtaking, it goes on for miles! There's only 1 taverna within walking distance so a car is definitely recommended, Polis, Latchi, Argaka & the Akamas peninsular are just a few kilometers away so a great area to explore. Communal areas & the pool are cleaned regularly & although the apartments themselves were not serviced during our 2 week stay, there are plenty of clean towels, sheets and cleaning products provided, we liked this approach as it added to the experience and felt like a home from home. We especially liked that the kitchen had a full sized oven & hob and also a washing machine. Free Wifi was provided and we had no problems with signal in the apartment, terrace or communal areas. Nikolas the property owner was very quick to respond to any queries we had through email or WhatsApp. If you're looking for an authentic experience in a rustic traditional property, we would highly recommend Elpida's Stone Houses

The property was comfortable enough, one has to remember that it is a 'rustic' property and it has basic decor and fittings. That is what mashes it a nice experience for the stay. The crockery was limited, for instance there was only 1 mug and only small drinking glasses. (We did get some taller ones later) a caffetiere would have been nice as well. The owners just leave you to it which is nice I suppose, though they were available if needed. The pool was clean though the sun shades were on heavy square concrete blocks and not easy to move so adjusting them for shade was very difficult. We had a nice stay there. It's a nice quiet relaxing place.
