Plaka House - Apartments

This was the perfect place to stay while visiting Athens!! I am not a fan of big cities and was not really expecting to enjoy the last couple days of our vacation as much as our time in other parts of the country. But staying in this apartment, right by the Acropolis, and in the Plaka neighborhood was perfect. It is very safe, everything is within easy walking distance, even felt safe going out by myself. The apartment itself is spotless and has all you need. We really appreciated being able to check in early since our cruise ended early in the morning. Ioannis was very helpful and prompt when we messaged with questions. When we booked it said there was laundry. I thought it was going to be in the apartment but I may have misunderstood. Turned out we didn't need to do laundry anyway, so I didn't ask. Perhaps it was available in the building and we could have accessed it? I would clarify that, but that was my only question. We would definitely stay here and absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Athens. You do need a smartphone for the key, so we had to make sure my phone didn't die before we got back. Taxis have to drop you off about a block away, but it's an easy walk to the building. Great value!

This was a perfect spot, very Clean and modern. I would recommend this spot to anyone. The only problem we had was finding it. It’s best if you get an Uber or a taxi because you have to walk to this spot and parking is not cheap. Be very careful where you get parking they will rip you off. Very small streets, but very close to the Acropolis.

I can’t imagine there are many properties that match this one for location, style and views. Ionnis was an amazing host and ensured everything went as smooth as we could hope. You won’t find a better view of the Acropolis that the one from the roof top hot tub!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Plaka House. The apartment was clean, modern and centrally located. Even though it’s in a lively area full of shops and restaurants, it’s tucked away in a quiet alley so you don’t hear the noise outside. Management was also very helpful in answering all our questions. Thanks Ioannis!
