What a delight it was staying at Franck and Virginie's. They were so happy to introduce us to all their young horses - and their youngest two week old foal. The property is situated in the middle of farmland (plenty of wheat and never-ending cognac vineyards) and was so peaceful - we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening with a bottle of rose and a basic evening meal we put together ourselves. The Charente river and its charming villages were easily accessible by car for walks, as were Saintes, Cognac etc. The immaculately clean swimming pool was a delight and very welcome, particularly being a very hot spell. My husband and I loved our 5 days at Chambre des Lunes and were sorry to leave.
