We stayed at Freestyle for five nights. As I checked in, I was informed that the dishwasher in my apartment was broken and wouldn’t be fixed while I was there. I was also informed that our room wouldn’t be serviced at all. Then when I entered the room, I discovered the ‘full kitchen’ consisted of a stovetop with two small cookers - one of which was broken - and no oven. Clearly the dishwasher had been broken for some time as the sticker on it to say it was broken was old enough to be peeling off. I wasn’t impressed - we decided to stay at an apartment so we could have breakfast and dinner there each day. Not a great experience! On the bright side, the pool is heated and the location is handy. The staff did deliver an electric frypan to our room, but only after I complained about how unhappy I was.

I stayed in Freestyle for 4 nights. From the moment I arrived (7am) Anne made me feel extremely welcome by ensuring my room was cleaned and allowed me check in 7 hours ahead of schedule ! Upon check in, Anne gave me a detailed breakdown of recommendations and how best to use my time in Port Douglas. I really can’t recommend this place enough, will certainly be back!

The couple who run the place were very kind. The room was spacious and clean. I’m glad I chose to stay here. I had a wonderful time.
