Excellence Punta Cana - Adults Only All Inclusive

Staff was very courteous, fun, and outgoing, they were very helpful throughout. Always sharing a smile, a beverage, and answering questions. Rooms were decent. Always clean but humidity crept in with some moisture/mildew faint at times. Went between AC and open doors to bring in air. Food was pretty good. Had to use your phone and their app for all the menus though…was hard to fully disconnect for a vacation. Beach was pristine. They kept the beach clean and seaweed was constantly cleaned up.

My wife and I have been to a lot of all inclusive but this was a first for the Excellence Collection. The resort is beautiful and the employees are great. We typically go to bed early on vacations from being out in the sun all day but we managed to enjoy the night entertainment which we found really fun. The only thing that we found just sub par was the food in some of the places. The Spice restaurant wasn’t great and the buffet wasn’t either, but we always find something we enjoy, here it was basically the omlette that we liked. For Spice they have the hibachi that you have to make a reservation for. We weren’t able to get a reservation until 9:45pm on Friday which is way too late for us, this isn’t really a complaint on that but more just unfortunate. The oregano restaurant was really good and so was the steak house. One other thing that this place doesn’t have that pretty much all other resorts that we’ve been to is a place that is serving snacks/lunch around the pool where you could just walk up and order food. Here you have to order from the waiter which is fine, but it takes about 1/2hr-45 minutes. Other than that we liked this place and didn’t want to leave. I do want to give a shot out to the whole staff who were great, but these people in particular made our stay fantastic. Diaz the bartender at the Prelude Bar. I have stayed in Punta Cana twice before, but this was by far the best resort experience, especially because of the incredible service from the staff. Everybody was positive and glad to help. A special thank you to Hector at the front desk, who helped with the room and made sure I received a quiet room. I also want to recognize Vivian and Raquel for going above and beyond with my food allergies and helping arrange special meals during the stay. Their care and attention made such a difference. Santiago was also extremely helpful and careful whenever delivering room service food. The coffee shop was amazing and so cute, and Yordania always provided excellent service with such a positive attitude every day. At the Kitchen Table Buffet, Santa always made sure I had everything, and was so attentive whenever I walked in to get food. The beach is definitely windy and has surf, but honestly it ended up being not a problem. I spent time there every day from around 9am until 4pm, and the breeze kept the weather comfortable so I never felt overheated, unlike other resorts where after 1 hour I wanted to go inside. The overall resort is not large, which made it easy to walk and explore. The gym is fantastic and has TechoGym equipment. The wildlife is also unique with parrots and small birds- definitely check out the Eco Park walk. Overall, this was such a peaceful and relaxing vacation, and the outstanding staff made it unforgettable.
