    While the rooms, pools, and overall property are well maintained and the resort feels physically safe, the guest experience was significantly impacted by repeated unprofessional and intrusive behavior from staff. Throughout our stay, we were repeatedly asked where we were “originally” from even after clearly answering that we are from the US. This did not happen once, it happened multiple times across different staff members. The questioning often continued with assumptions based on our appearance, along with uncomfortable looks and gestures. This felt intrusive, unnecessary, and disrespectful. We also overheard staff having explicit and sexual conversations in Spanish around guests, assuming we would not understand. When it became clear that we did understand, their behavior immediately changed, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. On another occasion, a staff member ignored our responses and continued to press about our background, repeatedly pointing at his own forehead and asking if I was Indian despite already being answered. This kind of behavior is not acceptable in a hospitality setting. Service felt inconsistent and, at times, selective. It often seemed that attentiveness depended on the guest, and there was a noticeable expectation of tipping tied to basic service. To be clear: this is not about one isolated interaction. The pattern of behavior across multiple staff members made us feel singled out and unable to fully relax during what should have been a comfortable stay. This resort has strong physical amenities, but there is a serious need for improved staff training in professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and respectful guest interaction.
