Villa Seyian

This was simply the best Villa I have ever stayed at. Before we arrived we were told exactly what to do, given amazing recommendations and treated like friends. The Villa was clean, perfectly located for the whole of Chania and a total vibe throughout! The welcome package blew my mind away, so kind generous and thoughtful.

Loved the villa and Efi has clearly put her heart and soul into this renovation. The aesthetic is stylish and minimal with high end touches everywhere. The location was great, with easy reach to Chania by bus or car, local market shops and pharmacies a short walking distance. We were even brought breakfast one day from a gorgeous local bakery. Thank you so much for the perfect stay. 🇬🇷❤️🇬🇷

Nothing not to like, other than having to leave!

Vår familj bestående av två föräldrar med vuxna barn bodde i Villa Seyian i början av augusti 2026. Det är ett fantastiskt och vackert hus som totalrenoverats sedan google steetview åkte förbi 2023. Ägarinnan Efi har lagt ner så mycket kärlek på att rusta upp och väldigt smakfullt inreda detta hus som fanns i familjen sedan lång tid tillbaka. Vi är väldigt nöjda och lyckliga att ha hittat denna pärla men ovanpå husets kvalitéer (se nedan) vill vi framhålla husets ägarinna och vår fantastiska hyresvärd Efi som alltid var tillgänglig, personligen eller via WhatsApp, med tips som gjorde vår semester ännu mer perfekt. Efi hjälpte oss till exempel med bilhyra och när vi anlände från flygplatsen flera timmar efter midnatt stod det frukt i en skål och det fanns grejer i kylen för att ordna en toast innan vi gick och lade oss. Vi fick även prova olika lokala delikatesser som till exempel spenatpaj, vin, olivolja och delikata små brownies under vår vistelse. Villa Seyian har allt som behövs för en grupp eller familj på upp till sex personer. Det finns tre relativt stora sovrum som alla är tiptop och alla tre sovrum har individuell AC och eget badrum i direkt anslutning. Köket är välutrustat (spis, ugn, toastmaskin och Nepresso kaffebryggare) och väldigt fräscht vilket ger bra möjligheter till lite självhushåll om man vill och det finns gott om plats. Det finns två små matbutiker och en slaktare i Galatas inom 200 meter från huset och två större matvarubutiker 2 km bort (Lidl och Synka). Huset ligger i byn Galatas som är en utmärkt startpunkt för att utforska Kreta, det tar bara ca 20 minuter med bil in till Chania och 40 till flygplatsen med bil. Det finns några restauranger i Galatas men vi provade aldrig någon av dem. Poolen är ca 3 x 5 meter och vill man ha hav är det 1.9 km till närmaste strand, en lätt promenad i svag nedförsbacke. Har man bil är det lätt att parkera vid de närmaste stränderna, under våra tio dagar var det aldrig mer än 100 meter att gå från bil till b

Det enda vi saknade i huset var att de två sovrummen på övervåningen kanske skulle behöva lite mer utrymme att lägga undan packning även om det skulle bryta mot den snygga och minimalistiska inredningsstilen.

Villa Seyian lies on the edge of Chania in Galatas - a short taxi ride from the city centre with its hustle and bustle, and provides the perfect tranquil spot to relax and take time for yourself. It is about 30 mins from the airport. The villa itself is exceptional, and our host (Efi) had thought of everything. From the welcome pack on arrival (including beer, wine and fruit in the fridge), spa products in the bathrooms, soft towels, even a milk frother in the kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble (including booking us the perfect table at the Pallas in Chania for dinner). The pool was lovely, refreshing and welcoming. The garden area is restful and the sun pans round it during the day - there is always both a shady spot and full sun. Locally you have one of the best small coffee outlets just 2 minutes walk away, two tavernas in walking distance and two mini markets with the basics that you need. A larger market was about 2o mins walk down the hill and restaurants on Kalamaki beach are 5-7 minutes away by taxi. Getting around is easy - there is a regular bus service to Chania with a stop right outside the villa, or you can use the local 'Taz' taxi app (we used it a lot!). All in all if i could give more than 5 stars i would!
