Cottage GORDA Kazbegi

The property was in an incredibly beautiful, special location and the family hosting was so incredibly wonderful. The family invited us for wine and Kachapuri and explained a lot about the local culture and Georgian culture and history. It was the most special experience and their son is very smart and well spoken, translating between us and the family. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The interior was spotlessly clean and felt very well-maintained. It’s fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering stay, including all the necessary cooking utilities and—most importantly for hikers—a washing machine. The location is the real star here. It’s a peaceful retreat and only about a 20-minute drive to the start of the Juta hike. Just a heads-up: you’ll need to drive into Stepantsminda for groceries or restaurants, but given the beautiful surroundings, we didn't mind the drive at all. Overall, a fantastic base for exploring the mountains!

My only minor note is that the gate access instructions were a bit confusing, so it’s worth double-checking those before you arrive

located in a small village about 10 min for Stepantsminda, it was quite place and relaxed. there are 2 bedroom, a living room and a nice porch, as well as a nice garden with dinning table. the kitchen is well equipped. every thing was very clean and the communication with the owner was easy through booking. the place is quite close to Juta about 10 min drive to the entrance

the stairs inside are quite steep and the bathroom is downstairs which is not comptrable if you need to use them during the night. there is very weak cell reciption and you need to relay on the WIFI. you will need a car however this is true to any place that is not Stepantsminda

Perfect nature location, warm house which felt like home, comfortable beds. Super kind and welcoming host! Would love to visit again!
